Wait, what happened on September 9th?

Correction: On the Epic v Apple. The judges ruling clearly said that people still have to pay the 30% to Apple. The change is that devs can manage the payments via other methods and then pay Apple.

Correction: The NICE game cherry picked platforms for a laugh, I guess. One example, Ghost and Goblins Resurrection has a 75% on Switch, which is the platform with the overwhelming majority of reviews out of all platforms. It goes even higher on Xbox One which has a scant 5 reviews averaging 83%. I think we can officially say Ghost and Goblins Resurrection is NICER.

It leaves this idea unresolved. It doesn't restrict Apple from making a new contract with all App Store developers for payment methods that exist outside of Apple, a contract which would likely include a commission, and this commission could end up being the very same 30%. But that contract has not been announced to the public, so it probably doesn't exist currently.
