I'd love to watch Huber do a live stream or something for DS3. It would be fun to see his first reactions in the dlc or something.

What a great episode! Checking out Berserk this weekend as my birthday treat :)

I have been a big fan of the Souls Games and Berserk since first playing Demons Souls. Recently after finishing Dark Souls 3 I was in a gaming slump where nothing was catching my eye to play. That's when I gave "Blues and Bullets" for PS4 a chance. Immediate elation. An uneasy alliance between Eliot Ness and Al Capone, Telltale style game with a gritty nior detective story, and Sin City style visuals. I know Huber is a busy guy but I will repost this all the way up to Mafia 3 in the hopes he would give this hidden gem a shot. For the Syndrome it goes well with "Elite Squad" a modern day Untuchables story set in Brazil based on true events.

I've never played a souls game but purchased both bloodborne and dark souls 3 about a month ago. I've yet to play them but my girlfriend beat both already. I'm still trying to catch up with my backlog of games, just beat Uncharted 4, Ratchet and clank, Rise of the tomb raider and am in the middle of Quantum Break.

You should really take that syndrome a step further and read the comic of Berserk because it is absolutely incredible.

If you like the movies, do yourself a favor and read the comics. It's amazing.

I remember there being a Berserk game for the Dreamcast that was actually pretty entertaining.

"And if you watch Berserk, I'm sorry." Told my friend this. He thought I was being silly. He knows better now.

Thank you for the spoiler warning. I closed the video immediately lol.

Great episode, Huber! Still hoping you bring back a segment where you read and respond to fan comments on the show. I thought that was a big part of what made your previous show special. Definitely missing it.

This is the first i miss :( i need to play dark souls 3 thanks for the heads up

Some points I would disagree with. The weapons balance is bad this time around - Straight Swords beat everyting. The missing poise makes heavy weapons pretty much the worse option compared to fast weapons in general. Grinding is super-easy luckily, so you can level a lot of weapons to +9 to test it out. DS 2 had quite a few mechanics changes that in retrospect look like improvements that should have been taken into DS 3. The interconnectedness is something I always saw as very overrated and a undeserved criticism of DS 2. Sure, the levels didn't fit into one another - but as in DS 3 you are always teleporting anyway, so it isn't something that matters aside form looking cool and some point of pride.

Great show. DS3 is my fav for sure but after beating it I did notice the franchise fatigue when it came to the second playthrough. could have to do with going back and getting the Plat for bloodborne about 2 months before it came out.

Spoiler Episode?! 😔 I'll be back once I finish Dark Souls 1, 2, Bloodborne, and 3. I have only finished Demon Souls; although, I did play a ton of Bloodborne.

I watched the first Berserk movie, and then heard about the second two and knew I didn't really want to watch that. But the first one was really good.

Should absolutely read Berserk. Anime absolutely doesn't do it justice

Hey Huber, if not the Manga, watch at least the original Berserk Anime. The movies tìstripped the characters of most of their psychological traits and defining moments. Give it a chance! Also, new Anime this summer that continues from where the movies left.

Seriously, stop with all the Dark Souls crap already. We know! You loved it, now move on.

There's a cool Berserk game on the Dreamcast called Sword of the Berserk: Gut's Rage that you might enjoy, Huber. It even got a US release. And it holds up reasonably well.

Nice Berserk shoutout, Huber! I watched that trilogy with my girlfriend and we were into it, but that final act was definitely uncomfortable. I remember looking to her for a reaction, but she was just stone-faced while I just had this permanent WTF expression until the credits rolled.

Anonymous

Maybe you should play it? Anyway, it's Huber's show. He's gonna get hyped about what gets him hyped.

Anonymous

Shoot. I can't watch this till I finish DS3. Sad!

Huber, don't be intimidated by anime: watch "Nanatsu no Taizai" (the seven deadly sins) you won't regret! " [24 Episodes + 2 OVA's].

Anonymous

This is the first Huber show I haven't watched :( Can't handle the spoilers.

Anonymous
