With the podcast back in the studio, I find it’s being more scrutinized than ever, and that can be a good thing. The project I’ve been using for a Zoom setup probably isn’t tailored for our four room mics, so I’m going to do some audio tweaking before this weekend and try to get us balanced a bit. We have concerns in this episode regarding Blood’s role in the show, how we pick our sponsors, and if reciting most of the games at E3 was the best way to cover it after the fact. I can’t say I’ve ever finished an episode of the podcast and thought “Nailed it, 100%!” So thanks for giving me more to think about when it comes to getting the most views we can.

Hey Mr. Jones! While discussing a previous answer regarding how well Misters Ellis and Casanova did for food reviews, it reminded me how plentiful EZA diversifies unique content, and more broadly, how infrequent it is. While a lot of content (understandably) is around or involves video games in one way or another, I think it goes understated, if not outright unsaid, the creativity in EZA shows is wonderful, but I’m curious as to which Allies create what concepts. I know Miss Hinck's Easy Update and Fast & Loose Internet Talk Show is always a random topic week to week (or month to month in the latter’s case) and has incorporated Kill Your Babies, introduced FantasyCritic, and worked with Mr. Wishnov in creating Mysterious Monsters to name a fraction of examples, and yourself solely maintained Mindful Games for being something not seen elsewhere, but beyond that, I’m unclear who, be in a single Ally or a group, created what show. Who thought of Achieve It Yourself? Did Mr. Huber pitch his titular Hunting Huber? And I guess the larger question I have is does EZA as a whole rely on particular Allies to come up with shows every so often and everyone who wants to participate in the shows/productions then starts on them, or is it more a case of an Ally will get the motivation for an idea, pitch at a monthly meeting, then go off to start work on it until it’s in a state where it can be announced at an Anniversary stream or other major event like Easy Livin’? Don’t get me wrong, you know I’m here every week for Cup, I don’t miss a Review, I’ll always submit for Love & Respect and FrameTrap, but after a while, it’s become noticeable when EZA shakes things up, it’s for a brief run and it feels like these creative ideas (with Achieve It Yourself being an exception) are not revisited. Thanks for reading what I’m sure comes across as rambling, but it’s still something I wanted to ask. Have a wonderful rest of your day! Cheers! QUESTION: Does EZA as a whole rely on particular Allies to come up with shows every so often and everyone who wants to participate in said projects then starts on them, or is it more a case of an Ally will get the motivation for an idea, pitch it at a monthly meeting, then go off to start work on it until it’s in a state where it can be announced at an Anniversary stream or other major event like Easy Livin’?

What is this issue that people have with Better Help?

EasyAllies

I don't know all the details, but my understanding is that they were called out on some things a few years back. They've since taken the criticism seriously and made adjustments, but all people remember is the controversy. Like I mentioned, Rooster Teeth had taken extra time to look into it before taking them on into their sponsor network. -Bloodworth

Good Morn-ternoon Jones, So, it was brought up a bit before last week's CoJ in the chat, and I have my own feelings about it, so here we go.... Can you please bring back the opening bit for the Podcast? I know, you've said before that making a funny opening segment or whatever isn't your strong suite, and I can understand removing it because of workload and such, but the podcast has an odd flow now that makes everything feel........ off for some reason. I think the best way to put it is that going from corrections to a lot of 'boring' news is like writing a fight scene without any dialogue, you need something there to break the monotony. Just a thought or two, thanks for listening.

Not a regular Cup of Jones listener, so forgive me if this has already been answered. Do non-Allies guests get paid for appearances on shows? Just curious, since I'm sure with so many actors in your life this is something you'd have opinions on. It's funny how much YouTube is the wild West compared to the more unionized world of film. At least from my perspective.

Hey Jones kinda a random question but do you know who will be joining you on the next community showcase? Tried to go back through the archives to find out myself but the order is a little jumbled. L&R

Heya Jones, Oh yeah, I know. That's just what I was told. But if Easy Allies were to go to Hollywood, would it be to sing the blues, to wear nice shoes, or to drink illegal booze? Bonus question: How much control do you guys have over your merch page? I noticed the Kill Your Babies card deck page doesn't show off the wonderful artwork on the cards and I think that's its main selling point.
