Concerning Returnal, you are always leveling up the guns you use. Guns have perks that once you 100 percent the perk they drop with that perk on future runs. Keep at it, it gets easier over time.

Email 2, made me immediately think of Spot Goes to Hollywood. Make it happen 7up/Dr. Pepper, or with the Disney theme Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow.

Great episode. All the discussions were really engaging. I know Ian can beat Returnal if he commits the time, but I'll admit that time ask is pretty large (similar to an RPG) for breadcrumbs of story. Just remember beyond the house and respawn flashes, you can also pick up story from audio logs (which are interesting for once) and decoding the alien language at places, which is something you can gradually work towards even while dying repeatedly. The devs do need to add Save & Quit ASAP though, as well as fix some of the ridiculous and frankly unacceptable bugs that game has seen, blemishing an otherwise gripping experience. Oh, and I fully support the way Capcom handled the marketing for RE8. If people are hooked enough to the limited information you put out, there's no need to show more. Hate when devs feel forced to show their whole hand just to sell people on the game. I don't see leaning into the love of the character as propping them up too much either. That section of the game is still probably the second biggest chunk, and while I agree maybe the daughters could've been fleshed out more, (and still could be through DLC) Lady D herself in my opinion hit the sweet spot.
