Valhalla was the inception of this show. I beginning my play-through over the holidays and noticed there was an option on the ability wheel just called "Meditate." It got me thinking about how many games nowadays have mechanics like this, whether they just facilitate a regular practice in games (fast-forwarding time in this case) or actually simulate breathing, clearing your mind, etc. As I ran around Europe it was a delight to encounter so many side stories that focused on appreciating the little things. This is such a long game that the collection of these moments probably only makes up a single-digit percentage of the entire experience, but for a game focused on pillage and plunder it was more than I was initially expecting. For those nervous about spoilers, I stayed away from any events concerning the main campaign outside of the first few quest lines. These episodes will also be short, likely under ten minutes, to highlight the fact that achieving a calm and focused mind takes less time than you might think.

Really cool idea for a show! For me the game that makes me most calm and at ease with the world when playing is Red Dead Redemption 2. I decided to try and fill my animal compendium up completely, hunting every animal in the game, so downloaded a mod to allow me to determine the length of time each day takes. Now I can set out in the early hours of the morning and treat each session like a little expedition, roaming around in the countryside/forests/hills/mountains etc. Really relaxing and a nice change of pace from my other games. Also, as this is my first ever comment as a new subscriber, I wanted to say keep up the great work. Your content has been great company throughout covid lockdowns here in the UK.

Wow, Jones, that was an amazing video! Such a great idea and glad to see that you made something you clearly enjoy doing.

I fell asleep to this the other night it was lovely. Also, I live in South Gloucestershire so technically I AM where he was :P (Also it's gloss-ter-shirr, most of those letters shouldn't exist but hey, our place names are all mixed up with old english/french/german etc haha)
