Ian, it's very likely the game you were thinking of was 2003's "In Memoriam" which was known in the west as "Missing: Since January". There was a sequel a few years later called "Evidence: The Last Ritual" in 2006. I played a little bit of both, and it was a real mindtrip.

Jovial Penguins: if you want to quote The Penguin from Batman; the most Jovial has to be from the 1960s batman. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060153/characters/nm0580565

No bets Lock down noise? ANYWAY! Great podcast!! LOVE that you covered Sheffield's story for Samsho V perfect. That guy's kind of an indiana jones game preservationist and was key for the SNK 40th anniversary collection. Great story about him taking a train to the countryside and finding a storage facility full of arcade boards for things that even SNK didn't have anymore---they made it into the SNK 40th anniversary collection! Also glad the wholesome direct got covered! LOVED yer takes and wasn't expecting them. QUICK TIP: If you hop on twitter every Sat MANY indie devs do #screenshotsaturday where they share progress on their games. Really helps keep yer finger on the pulse. Excellent job! L&R

Thanks for shouting out Unpacking! I am friends with the devs so it's wonderful to hear it being discussed by industry vets.

Regarding that sim racing controversy, he actually got fired by Audi for it. Some people think they overreacted but it was a sponsored event so there are severe repercussions for pissing off your employer. I’m continuously amused seeing pro drivers caught off guard by how serious the sim racing community takes esports.
