The overall reception to our Roost announcement has been positive, and it makes us even more excited for the future. It’s always scary to bring in outside resources, whether you really notice them as Patrons or not, and it’s comforting to know you’re willing to embrace change and move forward with us. Today’s episode has a good amount of questions asking for specifics regarding Roost, so we’ll start with those at the top. And to conclude, I’d like to talk about all the media I’ve been consuming via Disney+ and what I think of the service altogether. Lots of questions this week. Let’s get to it!

PERSONAL QUESTIONS

ALEC CHURCH - You've never watched Episode IV with Amanda? How Jones? How?! JONES - After she watched Episode III with me in the theaters I didn’t feel like I should take my time in how much Star Wars I want to force her to absorb. She had seen the original trilogy, and liked it enough, so it never really came up. I also watched them hundreds of times in the 90s, so I didn’t necessarily need more viewings to call up good memories. The soundtracks, however, have been on a constant loop my entire life, and are probably my favorite thing about Star Wars as a whole.

ASBO ZAPPRUDER - The new trailer for Cats came out and it has absolutely no singing in it. What's up with that? JONES - Don’t get me started on the advertising for that movie. They are dropping the ball so hard on bringing in non-believers. I’m not here to say it’s going to be great, because I’ve long scratched my head when it comes to how that musical could be adapted to film, but they’re just not doing themselves any favors, aside from showing how incredible the dancing is going to be. You have Jennifer Hudson and Taylor Swift, you idiots! LET THEM SING!

DANIEL RIBEIRO - On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the score you would give to The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) and Venom (2018)? JONES - The Amazing Spider-Man (6/10), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (5/10) and Venom (7/10). Venom is a weird movie, but very refreshing for me. I’ve never seen a superhero movie quite like it.

MICHAEL YAU - Thoughts on the Tesla Cybertruck? JONES - It’s weird and I kind of love it. It reminds me of the tank from Aliens. I don’t see myself ever needing or driving one, but it would certainly pull my attention if I saw one zipping down the street. A friend of mine used to work for Tesla, guiding tours at their central plant, and he told me lots of wild stories about that company. It’s fun to see them do odd things, and watch the auto industry react in curiosity and horror.
