I'm going to respectfully disagree regarding Pokemon fans who are upset regarding #GameFreaklied. GameFreak claimed the National Dex was cut because new models were being made and it turns out they are just using the same models from before. I thought EZA supports holding corporations accountable?

It seems Pokemon Company is in the select few who get a pass regardless of what they churn out because cute critters are cute, even Mario and LOZ get more criticism than them and they are just as beloved. If they released Pokemon 76 quality they would probably still get praised and called innovative. I enjoy Pokémon something worth almost 100 billion dollar with this kind of quality is mind boggling. Also Pokémon Collisuem and Gale of Darkness is GameCube games, so this being their first console game is not true even they were not the formula game.

With regards to Guinness, I actually thought about why they have so many ridiculous records these days and I wondered if it had anything to do with the rise of the internet. Before the internet I think they probably made money from their publications, the books collecting the records. But since you can just find all of that out for free now I think they make most of their money by people paying to have their records recognized. If you want to get your record recognized faster you can pay something like $800 to be in the priority queue, and if you want an actual person to come and witness it and hand you a certificate it costs thousands. The stupid records like Kojima's are probably just marketing (which is also marketing for Kojima too) because if they only had like legitimate records (fastest sprinter or tallest woman or whatever) they just wouldn't make any money. That was my hypothesis anyway.

But he isn't financially invested in the success of the game at all. Whether or not Shenmue 3 succeeds he doesn't get any money. It's effectively the same as paying money to buy the game isn't it? The only conflict of interest I can see would have been that up to this point it would have benefited him to build hype for the game so more people back it and his $150 goes further in terms of any tiers unlocked, but once it's out that's when he has the least stake in it right?

Was all the "Joker fans" stuff a joke I missed or is everyone seriously just cool with casually calling them bigots with no explanation? I'm beyond confused with all the extremely negative assumptions everyone has with people who like a movie.

Correction: (Re-posting here in case it's lost in the Youtube comments) Kyle - can you please not joke about calling up pet stores to check for availability of exotic animals? Animal trafficking for the pet trade is a serious issue that has devastating impacts on ecosystems worldwide. Many of the trafficked species are highly endangered. On average, one of ten trafficked animals survives, with the rest dying or being severely injured and maimed in transport. Severe neglect and abuse are commonplace. Most importantly, these animals were bonded with their families, and played a critical role in their ecosystems. The wolverine frog is fortunately not yet endangered, but it is threatened with habitat loss, as is the case with so many other species. I appreciate your concern for human rights abuses on the podcast recently. Let's also be mindful that the exotic pet trade is part of a system of exploitation, and shouldn't be discussed in jest! L&R to all of you ❤

CORRECTION : When talking about the Shenmue bet Kyle said "Shroud will be playing it". That won't help the bet now because he's exclusive to Mixer now and the best are checked on twitch. If not obvious, this is a joke correction. L&R

I dislike the notion that just because a product is targeted towards kids, fans of the product should just give up and expect less.

So far it has made over 1 billion worldwide (without china of course) with a budget of just 64 million and the highest grossing rated R movie in history and still counting. Loved by true comic book fans and hated by SJW activists and their twitter sycophants. I'm enjoying those salty bosman tears :)
