Not to nitpick, but there seems to be an unwanted autocorrect in the description. "Invisible" instead of "Indivisible". Thx for your hardwork(not sarcastic):)

Uh, is the video suddenly ending supposed to happen....?

EasyAllies

It is not. There was an error with the export it seems. I'm redoing the export and upload now. The audio version is fine and the first three hours of the podcast made it through. - Ben

Wimpy me had to play 'Kill Em All' specifically 'Seek and Destroy' to get through the Sewers in the Castle section of Resident Evil 4.

Thanks Ben

YouTube Video is private? Imagine getting re-uploaded?

If you haven’t tried again, Alex. I just opened the link and it worked for me.

Kyle - speaking as a game developer, for what it's worth I think you would get on really well with Gamemaker Studio 2 if you put the time into it. It's *a lot* more flexible than RPG Maker while still having tools that make it novice friendly like GB Studio. Just my two cents, I'm sure whichever one you pick the experience will end up being fun regardless!

Also gonna push Kyle towards Game Maker. I am tinkering around with a hobby project and I almost chose Game Maker all those years ago. Now I really REALLY wish I had used Game Maker instead. It's just way more supported and that community of people figuring things out and creating assets and what not.. It's invaluable. The lesser used tools.. it's just hard to even find help when you run into a wall.

Having just completed DQXI on PS4 (got the platinum) and now am working on DQXIS, I would *love* to get another maybe mini spoiler mode of Kyle's thoughts. It's really awesome to hear a new person discovering how awesome Dragon Quest is so I think maybe a Ben and Kyle mini spoiler would be the coolest thing ever. Just... a thought :)

Love an underdog story, Kyle and Brandon in the Frame Trap game was fun.

The Dragon Quest love warms my heart.

I was undecided on Dragon Quest 11. I never played a DQ-Game and I'm not the biggest fan of the art direction in DQ11 but you guys finally convinced me to try the demo because you made it sound like such a jolly and fun game. Sadly what i've played so far doesn't really manage to win me over. I haven't really progressed far yet and i'm still on the way to the mountain peak but there are already two big red flags that are killing the fun. 1. Silent protagonist, I know somewhere in a "how-to-write-a-relatable-protagonist"-book there surely is a chapter for silent protagonist but honestly he feels like a straight up psychopath just blankly staring into the distance while getting ask questions. Makes him feel like a bystander and instantly took me out of the story. 2. I like "mid-fight-banter" of the party but I've fought about 5 slimes and the words "GO ON, CRIKEY, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT AND FIGHT SOME MORE, YOU CAN DO IT" are already forever etched into my brain.

Hey Allies. This was one of my favourite episodes to date. And all because you addressed and spoke in depth about the Blizzard debacle and it's affect within the world. It is not easy trying to navigate personal opinions when you are a business such as yourselves. Not sure I could L&R any harder right now. Secondly. The question about music soundtracks that remind you of games and vice versa. My teens, every birthday and Christmas there was a guarantee present of CDs and Games (and of course jocks and socks). For me the most stand out association was playing FFVII and listening to Enema of the State (blink 182) and Mechanical Animals (Marilyn Manson). There is more, but mostly aussie bands. Some good finds if you're interested. L&R ❤

I share the pain regarding NMS. I've played hundreds of hours, and the more they update the game the less I enjoy it. It's a shame, I was hoping the game had evolved a different way. Now it's just too generic.

Dear Ben, the fact that you continue to use words like right, wrong, good and bad in your conversation on blizzard as if the whole world was to make value judgements exactly like you do just drives me up the wall. These categories are only valid within your specific value system at a specific point in time. By making statements like these you exclude everybody holding an opinion different from yours. There are no objective rights and wrongs in discussions around values. In that sense (aside from the corporate language being used) I really appreciate blizzard just looking to stay out of these discussions altogether. It's a company producing video games. They should not have to postion themselves along whatever political agenda. They did not make this thing political, it turned political with the speech and they were forced into a political discussion no matter how they would have reacted. I hope you can relate to that point in some way. L&R, Mark
