So I thought it might be fun to slow down Rip and Tear 666% but then Jason Wishnov (who I was asking how to do that math) informed me that you can't slow down something past 100% because then it stops. And I was like "WHOAAAAAAAA, shutupyouknowwhatimean" and he was like here's how you make is 666% LONGER and I was like shutupthankssssssssss

And so here it is, it's pretty intense to listen to lol.

Hope someone likes it, I don't know.

love that EZA are putting out Power Electronics music now (does Ian like Throbbing Gristle?)

The odd forms and somber tapestries are strong with this one. 6:40 was pretty cool. The mix of the song drawn out and the hands slowly reaching for the armour, then rubbing the helmet made Doom’s world seem less intense and more that the world was taking its toll on the Doom Slayer. It’s like a moment of pause, Doom Slayer stops his mission for a second and just reflects on his role as the only person that can save mankind, I dunno . On a side note if anyone in the community is interested in the Doom (2016) soundtrack check out the track Olivia Pierce from the OST, best part kicks in at 1:10. Wicked soundtrack in general.

As a low-tier patreon supporter, I respectfully ask that poorly made content like this not be put on the main channel (or just not shared at all ). I want people to like EZA.

Just because you put the word “respectfully” doesn’t really make it that respectful.

Regardless of who likes what, Ian will post what Ian posts and none of the Allies has a problem with it just like Ian doesn't tell them what game they should stream for four hours. If you don't like it, I refer you to the first Easy Update video.

The thing that I love the most about Easy Update and Ian in general is how unpredictable it is. One second it can be a poignant conversation about depression, a hilarious video on Animal Crossing, a creative outlet for strange ideas. But the thing is I know and understand that with the highs will come the lows, it's just the way it is. I know I won't like every video. I would rather it stay that way; the unpredictable nature of Easy Update is what makes it so unique and appealing to me. Neutering that and making it bland, predictable, would be a disservice to the channel, community, and the Allies themselves.

Lots of really negative comments on the YT page, so just want to say here that I am a big fan of Ian's work. I'm hoping the reaction to this video doesn't cause him to totally change his creative process. Keep doing your thing, man.

when are you releasing your Drone album Ian

Andrew Chalmers

Wasn't a fan of this episode but appreciate the experimentation. Probably what lost me is the description of the video. I have no idea what it means (what is Rip and Tear 666% and who is Jason?), leading me to be quite confused with the video. Maybe a clearer description would've helped? Regardless, the experimentation leads to stuff I love from Easy Update, so I look forward to next week.

Long story short, I want to play Doom again. Luckily Doom Eternal is upon us! Thanks for the unique and surprising content as always Ian!

Not a fan of these videos, but Ian peppers every month with some awesome content. "So we'll take the hit, to make the play" ;) and just wait for the next banger! L&R
