Sorry if this is dumb, but will the combined posts no longer include mp3 links? No worries if I have to wait until it hits the feeds elsewhere. Looking forward to listening! EDIT: Thanks! I've sub'd to the private audio RSS and I can also download via Soundcloud. EDIT 2: And Patreon allowed the mp3 links again! Sweet either way!

EasyAllies

The mp3 links were removed by Patreon. I think you should still be able to get them via the private RSS. -Bloodworth

Kyle, an FS1 style weekly show about video games is perfect. And the studio setting is perfect for it. You could go in-depth with the Desire Index, keep us regularly updated with the Fantasy League, have something fun like drafting video game characters to a team, have a debate like Skip & Shannon, etc. I would definitely upgrade my Patreon for that.

Michael Tucci

I’m just here to show my support for the DESIRE INDEX. I absolutely love it and genuinely think it’s essential.

Real giggles at the cut to Brad after “this might be interesting...because we have a father on the panel”

MaxVSTheGames

The Desire Index definitely could/should be it's own show. What an awesome idea! It's a good way to discuss and hype the incoming games. And it can easily be a weekly show forever since there will always be new games to add. And it's an easy way to make the community participate by suggesting games to add every week!

The dragon ball thing being directed at Jones n how it could be a show reminded me of the anime terms idea a while back.

CORRECTION : Need for Speed Payback did NOT have microtransactions/loot boxes. They’re called Surprise Mechanics.

Good number of love and respect entries. Glad to see you fit in more than one or two. 😀

Ian, I love your camera bits.

I do like most of the games on the eza podcast...my favourite atm would be the gaming game....could easily be a high production value 1 season exclusive like " and for that reason" L&R Alex

I love me some podcast games. Pokedex vs Real Animal is obviously the best.

Anonymous

I was rewatching a kill your babies. Kyle how does it feel to have killed cyberpunk 2077 back then, and it now the top of the desire index. You made that game not exist in the past.

Just wanted to support GAMES. They are fun and amusing. If you pretend you don't love 'real animal or pokemon'...yer just lyin'. Also in defense of the way the NES library works.. I think those games are exactly what they want them to be. Oddities that can fill your time for a little bit then you move on to BUYING games you really want to fill your time with. That's how I enjoy them. I buy so many switch titles.. and I'm seriously not putting in real time with most of them. If I had a steady stream of QUALITY retro games coming to my system for free I don't know what the hell I'd do. So as is? I like the weird janky quality of the NES line up. Some classsics for sure.. and weird shit to momentarily amuse while I have random down time.

Cullen Golden

CORRECTION: Not too many games. Thank you.

I LOVE the Gaming Game with those improv skills coming into play we get the best clips from that game!

Question to think about, not for the podcast: The way you previously had the Youtube clips I would click twice to play it in another window. Have you seen a dip in plays coming from Patreon because of that? Hope not, just something I've noticed. L&R

I am dumbfounded by the overwhelming support on this podcast for paid cheats! Most of the cheats you described are the kind that involve breaking game mechanics to make things easier. Would you pay money to have Funky Kong beat levels for you in Tropical Freeze? Pay money to avoid the fun of unlocking Smash Bros characters? Pay money to avoid the grind of leveling up in a mobile game? Pay money to mod goofy things into Skyrim? All of these ideas have been almost universally criticized in the past. It's funny that calling them "cheats" and throwing in some Game Shark nostalgia changes our perspective on heavily panned monetary practices. Maybe I'm just a purist but I don't see the appeal.

Time is a currency. Money is a currency. It's all currency. The only difference is that when you spend money, you keep your time and give them your money. When you spend time, you keep your money but that time just disappears. Four years ago, I would have agreed with you Nimbus. Now, as a husband, father, and teacher, I just don't have the time to grind for cheats. It's like going out for dinner: I could cook it myself, but sometimes I'd rather just pay someone to put in the time to do it for me.

Anonymous

Why not just make a good game instead and you won't have to grind and waste your time. The only reason you want to pay for these things is because they've designed the games to be frustrating without them, specifically to make you want to pay up.

CORRECTION: Jones said it's a shame DC universe never got a Marvel Ultimate Alliance style game, but in fact it did. It was called Justice League Heroes and it wasn't very good.
