the moment I crave an EZA podcast one gets uploaded <3

Ben made it purposely short to funnel more people towards watching EVO.

Those first 4 games discussed: 👌

Oh nice--thanks, Ben! Am far enough into Fire Emblem that I'm starting to crave discussion. Also wondering if I can just skip Youngblood. Looking forward to listening!

I thought this was the audio and was still waiting for the video post

The all in one format really helps the patrons who don't like receiving dupe emails for the audio / video posts of each video. It also helps the allies themselves condense and clean up their patron. The transition might be a little jarring for us, but it helps a lot of people so I think its worth that lil sacrifice. LnR4L ~Heidern98

Evo was really fun this year Ben, lots of really great announcements. New Guilty Gear (holy shit, best news ever), new KOF15, Haohmauru in Soul Calibur lol (its perfect), Honda the last SF2 character is finally in SFV with 2 more new characters and more to come. Tekken 7 season 3, new Under Night update, no smash announcements (thanks nintendo), and no real MK11 info. Bonchan finally gets his, 9 yr old and Dad dont lose a game in their DBZ pools, SonicFox just owns NRS EVO, America takes home 1st in BBtag which is very rare for anyone but a Japanese player to take 1st in an anime game. Lots more but ya good times.

After this episode and having seen it a few days ago, I really wanna know what Huber thinks about Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Have Ian and Huber ever done a Tarantino devoted Reaction Shots? That would be fantastic as he's one of my favorite directors right now.

Great episode and great Hottake. To add to it, I see this a lot in the FGC. Someone brought up Evo being this past weekend. Great stuff. I just want to point you to this video of Unchensored https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJDV-BgRD04 There's plenty going wrong in the FGC but every time Evo rolls around the shit trashing of other fighting games happens in chat. I turn chat off every time I watch a tournament, but specifically for Evo you have to or you're going to see people trashing games they don't want to see and it can almost ruin the mood of a hype moment. I go to places like Shoryuken all the time, and let me tell you. Being a fan of Capcom (I'm a fan of all fighting games) I like reading up on all things Street Fighter and Marvel related. Long story short, there's always 1 or 2 guys just trashing Street Fighter 5. We all know it had a shitty launch and whatnot, but you still have a group that enjoys the game. 1 guy's response is always along the lines of "I'm doing it to open your eyes". He does it trying to get people to play other fighting games yet he's at a spot that's specifically catering to Street Fighter players. Same thing with Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. One guy just bashing the hell out of Capcom. The game flopped, but you still had a select group at the same spot that enjoyed playing the game, but he insisted on trying to convince those that were enjoying the game that they shouldn't be wasting their money or time playing that game. So I feel you Huber. I will never understand this notion of people trying to keep others from enjoying whatever it is they are trying to enjoy for their own benefit. Anyway, peace and blessings Marcus

I’m a fan of your podcast; however, the frustration of the video game industry conversations are getting repetitive. I hope this podcast can shift its tone and find unique topics to discuss.

Really admire the dedication people have for Yakuza games. Only played 1 game and ended up quitting after 15h because, while the story was top notch I just couldn't bare that gameplay loop. I felt like nothing outside de cut-scenes was even that fun. It was Zero, don't know how other games compare.

Great hottake. Great discussion on innovation in games. And yea phantom hourglass sucks lol

The story in Judgment is one of the weaker points for me. It's painfully predictable. I'm on chapter 12 (probably going to finish today) and there hasn't been a single revelation where I've been surprised. There was an entire chapter where I was frustrated that a detective couldn't figure something out that I knew before the chapter started and then his pal figures it out. It makes me wonder if, for games like that, we should start holding the narrative under a microscope in the criticism. Like movies. That being said, I still love the game, I'd rather have Yakuza 3 4 and 5 on my PS4 though.

Damn, I was hoping to hear Huber's take of Bruce Lee's portrayal in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood :p
