This month I was joined by very special guests composer Daniel James @H2Daniel, and returning favorite Matthew Walden @sneakdoorbeta to discuss the music of films!  Plus Daniel and Matthew brought show and tell!

This is, I think, the longest Reaction Shots yet, none of us realized we'd been talking for as long as we had haha!  Time flies when you're having funnnnnn

Awe, man! My favorites didn't make the cut. I mostly just wanted to see if you were an OPN fan :)

Loved this episode. Shout-out to Matt for having the vinyl soundtrack to The Killing Fields. The movie is an absolute must-see.

I love The Dark Knight score! I watched it on an IMAX cinema and they had those THX certified speakers, the first scene when it starts going with the slow, but steady score, it was like the sound was all around my body. Then I remember the gunfire sounds, like if someone shot a gun right beside me. Specially the shotgun shots, every time it felt like they were passing throughout my whole body. But most of all I remember the iconic - and now classic - score. It made every scene even more epic. I believe I must have sat right next to where one of the speakers was placed. Like Huber has said many times, it's wasn't just watching a movie, it was an "experience". PS. Somewhat related, I'm listening to video games scores/soundtracks all the time. I really recommend Parasite Eve, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Tenchu, Demon's Souls, Abzû, Transistor, Persona 3-5, Ni no Kuni 1-2, NieR: Automata, Firewatch, Child of Light, Hollow Knight, Mass Effect 1-3 and Andromeda, Dragon Age, Undertale, Xenoblade Chronicles 1-2, Ori And The Blind Forest, Owlboy, Chrono Trigger & Cross, Metal Gear Solid 1-5, Final Fantasy 1-15, Mega Man, The Legend of Zelda, to name some. And recently, Night Call. L&R
