I was really looking forward to giving this a full review but, of course, my newborn had other ideas. Before I sign off of EZA for a few weeks, here's my last scripted, edited piece on a game that I'm very much enjoying so far. I might pick it up on Switch and start the story over so I can play co-op with Amanda. This sequel feels like there was a huge list of improvements left over from Builders 1 and they checked off each item one by one. I kept thinking "Neat, that's a bit easier now" over and over again. The overall structure of the first Builders felt odd compared to Minecraft, and even smaller stuff like Portal Knights, and Square Enix shook up their own formula even more here. But I grew to like the way it's paced once I understood how everything worked, and I'm looking forward to stacking my way through the rest of the campaign. I might return with a co-op stream, or a quick tour of my various creations, but a full review is very unlikely given what everyone's scheduled to cover this summer. Just know that if you liked the first Builders, this one seems better in many ways, so I wouldn't hesitate if you're curious.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 - Easy Allies Impressions

We still have lots of building to do before we see the end of this extensive sequel, but even after a few hours with the game, it's clear there are lots of improvements to celebrate, new modes to enjoy, and control changes to get used to. I skipped the first Dragon Quest Builders because I saw the second one was coming out soon. Glad to finally see it releasing in the U.S! I am ready for that co-cop experience.

It's so cool that you made this, Jones! Thank you.

So to be clear this is not a review? The only thing it's missing is a score

EasyAllies

It's not. At the moment, Brandon doesn't have time to get that deep into the game. -Bloodworth
