Bonus Friend Code - Pre-E3 2019 Special - SEE DESCRIPTION (Patreon)

This is a "lost" episode of Friend Code (lost = will not count as a numbered entry, so the episode after this will be 51) where we didn't have a main audio recording and were forced to go with the camera audio which isn't mixed correctly as it's typically only used for sync purposes. 

As indicated by the poll results, this will remain an unlisted video exclusive to Patrons. I will not be posting an audio only version since there are audio issues present, and I do not want it to become a part of any official RSS feed we have. Again, I apologize that we didn't have a redundancy in place that could have prevented this from happening, but there will be one in place going forward so that this specific issue doesn't happen again.

Please also remember there will be an episode of Friend Code this week covering the Pokemon Sword and Shield Direct that will go up ASAP for Patrons, and at the end of next week's E3 coverage we will also do a massive Nintendo E3 recap episode that will go up at the usual times for Patrons and the public.

Damn you, Damiani. I've been going into this E3 with stable, realistic expectations for Nintendo. Now my head is in the clouds, and you may have sold me on the idea that BOTW sequel is getting at least teased. And I want to answer what I want to see most in it: I don't want to save Zelda. I want her to be a partner. I want her to be a part of gameplay. Coop would be a pipe dream.

I was really looking forward to the audio version so i can listen to you guys on the go. Please reconsider posting it even if only in a downloadable mp3 format even if not on the RSS feed. I won't be able to enjoy this content till the weekend, and i won't watch the video there either, only listen to it while i do other things. Thanks anyways, Love and Respect

I was a bit sad that there was no talk of Bethesda in this discussion. I feel like Damiani always leaves them out despite their awesome support for the Switch.

Their ports have been fantastic. We already know about doom:eternal and Young Blood coming. A fallout 3 or new vegas port would be amazing though.

The reason Pokemon Home won't be available for the launch of Pokemon Sword and Shield is so at the launch of Sword and Shield the "cheat" Pokemon from previous generations won't be around. GameFreak has consistently staggered services like this and Bank to not support new games until months after their launch for that particular reason. It makes the time around launch more enjoyable when you can know the Pokemon you're trading for weren't "generated" or "injected", and it makes the journey for players at launch more enjoyable by not letting people trade level 100 Pokemon into the new game and steamroll it as fast as possible to rush to the end to see everything first. It isn't that these services weren't ready in time. They're specifically held back with calculated purpose.

Head's up reminder. Since the end of last year, there's been a Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo on PS4 and Switch, but it is only in Japanese still. Unless it was a significantly different demo available at E3, I think it would be a waste of E3 time playing it there if it was available when you can already play it from home. If you're reading this Jones, you can go play it right now, and there's videos on Youtube that "on the fly" translate it if you want to know the context for what's going on.

Because of Wii Connect 24, Animal Crossing City Folk allowed you to send mail to friends in other towns from your own town, but this feature did not return in New Leaf where you had to instead visit a friend's town while they had it open and send them mail from the post office in their town while you were visiting, which could ruin the surprise if they were following you around while you were visiting. I too hope Animal Crossing Switch reintroduces this feature.

Hey I'm watching this now. While the audio is definitely subpar but it's far from unlistenable. It's just a little echoey really. Obviously you don't want all your stuff sounding like this but I was expecting it to be way worse the way the guys were talking about it.
