The trailer biz is a hard thing to keep track of. So many beauties have come out since we shot this episode last week. Of course if feels weird not to discuss Death Stranding or Pokemon Sleep, but I also want to remember to bring up Rambo and other hot summer movie trailers when we do our E3 wrap up in the middle of June. Just to throw a little "Insider Insight" out there on Bloodstained. Early in the Kickstarter Processes. Backers were asked to vote on which of 4 "Shaders" would be used in Bloodstained, as well as Lighting. The Early Stages of Bloodstained's development felt very fan controlled and criticisms giving in their specific forum were taken into consideration. This trailer seems more like a reaction to having the means to make this game look better now that 505 is backing it.

Oh I didn't know about the Bloodstained trailer. I just watched it. It's hilarious and I think the inclusion of comments is necessary to clearly illustrate they're listening, and it's also funny. And for me personally, I remember seeing this game ages ago, and thinking "looks bland", but I had long forgotten about this thought. Seeing all these comments pop up reminds me of my own thoughts, and then they quickly show me how they fixed the thing I had thought previously. Love Iga in this trailer too.

Comments on the Bloodstained trailer were necessary. They also captioned the Old footage as "Poop" so clearly they knew the game could look better. You have to include comments for Iga's attitude about it to be funny.

The charismatic debate with Kyle and Brandon...my god...hilarious. Kyle and Brandon are a funny duo.

I think the inclusion of the comments in the Bloodstained trailer is what made it a better trailer - it's different, it's interesting, and it communicates both that they're listening to criticism, but also does it in a playful way. I don't think it comes across as petty so much as just a bit cheeky, and that sets it apart from something more typical.
