I think Sonic the Hedgehog 2 stands a good chance of getting in with these guys. It's commonly agreed to be the best of the series, it's aged fine, and it has nostalgic capital. And wouldn't it feel good to give the blue blur a win in these troubled live-action times?

Per the suggestion: Final Fantasy VII: Because I feel strongly two Allies would both give it 3s, while you could pick up additional votes from at LEAST two others. And that's the floor I envision (With that said, I DO agree with the sentiment, there's going to be a rule to put the kaibosh on this REAL fast X-D )

Banjo Kazooie: The perfect next step after Mario 64. Wow you got a jiggy! Want another? Well keep on playing my good sir, no need to boot out of a level and start again. Amazing controls, memorable and distinct character designs. Amazing music especially how the music transitions from on land to under water. A great and difficult final boss. Awesome cheats and secrets. This game isn't over bloated and encourages 100% as you get some great upgrades for the final boss. Most players can 100% in under 10 hours. You are constantly having new "missions" and breadcrumbs leading you about the levels. No levels feel like bloated empty spaces. Awesome transformations. You can complete almost all levels in one go which is greatly satisfying.

I'd say given what we know about the Allies, I'm amazed no one (as far as I know) has brought a Mario Kart game yet.

I feel like Undertale would be an interesting choice since except for Kyle and Ian, I really have no clue how popular this game is with the allies. It definitely deserves to be a nominee in my opinion. But yeah, definitely a wild card and no safe bet.

Final Fantasy VII, Megaman X, Super Castlevania IV, Metal Gear Solid III, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country 2, Sonic 2 ... uh... I think that's all I can think of atm. You're Welcome! Personal Picks that wont make the cut: Parasite Eve, Bubble Bobble, Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, Altered Beast, King of Fighters... There you go! Make your Choice. I personally would go with SNES/GENESIS Games, Heavy Nostalgia. Characters that are still around today. things that made an impact on little Jonesy and Bosman's Childhood. if you take down those two pillars of contrarianism, the rest will fall. play with your head, not with your heart Ian.

There's no Bioware on the list yet. I know their current incarnation is just EA wearing a dead Bioware pelt, but there are some great bangers from when they were still alive: KotOR, Mass Effect, or a play on reverence with Baldur's Gate.

Super Mario World and Final Fantasy 7 are the two games closest to a guarantee, by far. Super Mario Galaxy is up there, too.

Minecraft ! A game that really deserves it AND a game that you like! (The two checkbox to tick) ... Sell: + One of the most played game in the last decade. + Minecraft is a storytelling machine: everyone has his own cool; adventure, build or mistake they want to tell you about. Allies do too I'm sure... Humans are all about storytelling. --- Note: You probably should tell one of you're story to sell it but don't spend too much time on it either. + The gameplay is revolutionary. While it prompted hundreds of clones, none of them manages to get it just has right. + A variety of gamer profile will find something they love in this game. Even better, they can share the part they love over a server with a friend that cares about something different. --- Your an Aesthetic Creative? Build a pretty house for you and your friends. --- Your an Adventurer? Go discover the world and find that mine shaft/pyramid/NPC village. --- Your an Optimiser? Go build some crazy loot machine. --- ... The list goes on. (Grinder? Get them materials to build an infinite tunnel with rails. Fighter? Defend your friends and go fight in the Nether. Speedrunner? Finish de game in 3hours. ) + The mods are insane, you can upgrade your game but you can also play a different type of game within Minecraft framework. Be it a PVP capture the flab or a story driven game. + Kids are using it to learn stuff in school; people are using it to create content or even getting paid by a big company to build stuff with the blocks: it's a small industry. (@Others: Is your game used in school ?) --- Note: Minecraft is actually a pioneer of user-created content and gaming-youtubers. + Probably as recognizable as mickey mouse. + Lego meets Video Games, the right way! + The music is good and gives the right feel. Defense: + Graphics will be attacked but the attackers are wrong! The game is not possible without this art style. It's also such a distinct art style it's recognizable. Plus it introduced the new generation to pixelated/retro graphics. + Maybe they will attack de slow development. They would be right but remind them this is a game that is being developed for 10 straight years and it requires a crazy amount of testing due to it's nature. AND people have acess to mods if they think the developers are too slow. (Want to build flying machines.... go ahead) + They might attack the "grindy" loop (hitting a wall for an hour to collect rock). Remind them you set your own goal and the reason you are "grinding" is because YOU want to build a cool bridge, tower or whatever. + Remind Kyle it was the rightful survivor of the first "Kill your babies". TBH, I haven't played much Minecraft in the last couple years but whenever I see someone playing I feel I'm missing on some fun and the main reason I don't jump back in is that it's so addictive and time-consuming. Minecraft might be the greatest of the last decade! (Plus... it is; it's 10th anniversary!)

If I was an Ally I would nominate Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!. The game is 35 years old this year and still holds up. The music is iconic. It's a Nintendo game and they seem to get further into the hall. It's challenging and fun. You can pick it up and play it anytime and have a load of fun. Uses a code based save state. It's as an immersive of a boxing game as any of the last EA Fight Night sim like games.

Put it in the YT comments, but figured I'd drop it here as well: I think a lot of the allies would have a hard time coming up with arguments against Mario World or Mario Galaxy (1 or 2)

Shadow of the Colossus. Original (IMO the remake is similar enough to count as the same thing, unlike REmake and RE2make). But the remake is a remake of the game that is in all the Allies' hearts, whereas the original is THE game in all the Allies' hearts and I know you love it too. Also Dark Souls will get in once it is unbanned along with Bloodborne 2 which will be out by then.
