The writing overall took a huge dip, both male and female characters. They all act surface level this season. No Amanda it's not just the women, and no Amanda, saying something negative helped you grow isn't condoning that negative thing. The show is treating women just fine. Literally every ruler left is a woman.

It may have been foolish of me to only expect spoilers regarding the television show. I was not prepared to have aspects of the books spoiled as well. I’ve only read the first three books, and have decided to wait (maybe forever at this rate) until the book series has its conclusion in sight. I think the show and the books are different enough that spoiler talk regarding each of them should be discussed separately. Or at least give a spoiler warning for the books as well.

This season so far is pretty bad with episode 3 being the worst conclusion to an arch I’ve ever experienced.

It's kinda funny how much stock has been put into Jon not petting Ghost. The director has said they wanted to keep the CG simple. I have a hunch there are a number of odd decisions throughout the series that come down to budget and challenging CG. Also, I'm not sure I agree that Danny is just now turning bad. She's been battling with her dark side since season 1, and it has come out many times. The key things she has to help keep it at bay are people by her side. Now 2 of the closest of them have been taken away...

I mean this series is the most book discussion we'll ever get from the allies, and way more show discussion than we could have expected. Its hardcore GOT spoilers all the way. The two aren't different enough to warrant separate series
