How come we didn't get one of these for VII and IX? Those are the ones that really need it, in my opinion.

What's the grind like on these games? Is there an easy mode? Keen to give them a crack and see what the fuss is all about but I'm really time poor.

FFX doesn't have a mandatory grind at all, though you are able to grind random encounters to level up if you're struggling with a boss. Several of the FFX ultimate weapons involve grinding, but none of the ultimate weapons are required to beat the game. Can't speak about FFX-2 because I never finished it.
