I have never played any of the other DMC games, or if I did, I was too young to remember. All that said, I still found the plot engaging and delightfully silly. I loved this game way more than I thought I would. That final scene after the credits! Ahhhhh. I don’t even know those characters that well and I was hyped.

I'm a little disappointed in this Spoiler Mode. To be honest it felt more like a discussion on Frame Trap about your impressions of the game (not that there's anything wrong with that for Frame Trap) and less about talking about things that are actually spoilers. I know Spoiler Mode isn't strictly the things that are spoilers discussion, but this seemed a bit light on the spoilers people (or at least me) would like to hear the Allies' thoughts on.

The book is explained in the gallery mode. It's something that an old librarian gave Vergil as a gift when he was a child. Since he was so interested in books and reading he was so happy and started carving his initial on the cover, when the old man asks why he is doing that he says that he has a twin brother and they always fight about what belongs to who so he has to put his name on things, it's a really sweet story and adds a lot of meaning to the book and what Vergil did at the end. (they are also adding a lot more to V and Vergil's character through the V's canon manga which is called Visions of V) I also have to agree that this spoiler mode was a bit disappointing to me personally. Like, how can you talk about DMC5 spoilers and don't mention the stuff about Vergil and Nero and how he finds out Vergil is his father and the "Fuck You" scene. Overall, I enjoyed this and hopefully we'll get more DMC discussions in future.
