Gotta love Bosman and Damiani’s energy together! Always a good time. They play off each other well. Pretty much the Nintendo discussion dream team for me. Thanks for the good episode, dudes.

There's some weird background audio on this episode that kind of sounds like rain. It isn't annoying, but thought I'd just give a heads up.

Link to this wicked good Zelda wallpaper art from the thumbnail?

It is from the 2017 job posting page about the non Xenoblade Monolith game Damiani talked about. (So technically not Zelda but I personally think it is)

You’re crazy if you think 3rd parties would be willing to commit resources to versions of games exclusive to a new Switch SKU. The CURRENT decision they have to make is “Can I make a profit only selling a few hundred thousand copies?” so it’d be nuts to fence their games off from the vast majority of Switch owners. As has been true for decades now, Nintendo fans still only show up for 1st party games and games that are more in the Nintendo wheelhouse (like Stardew, Rabbids, etc). Great episode though! Keep up the great work, Damiani.

Nice episode! Good topics, good thoughts. Maybe some feedback on the audio side: It's okay if you get louder or do voices from time to time, but because you have a really powerful voice, maybe try to get the habit of leaning away from the microphone a bit in those situations. Maybe it's just me watching everything with headphones, but a few times it was a bit too much energy right into my ears. It doesn't have to be a quiet whisper podcast, and I think you made great improvements as a host, but some fine tuning and awareness might help to increase the comfort for the listeners. Also, you sometimes pop your Ps or are on the edge of doing so. Maybe Jones can share a quick tip on how to avoid that. L&R

This is my favorite episode, such great banter between Damiani and Bosman

A little surprised neither of you mentioned the possibility that the Link to the Past listing could be a mislabeled Link Between Worlds port. I'd definitely be down for that. Great episode as usual!

Fun episode! I had a hard time with the Switch Lite / Switch Pro discussion though and whether you guys were being 100% serious or doing a lot of banter. I say this because I feel like some of the comments about the hardware didn't seen critically thought through. (The part about buying more joy-cons to play Mario Party on a console where the joy-cons couldn't attach to, and thus cannot charge, stands out as an example). We'll wait and see what these hardware turn out to be if they exist, but to me it HAS to do these three things: 1) Support the existing joy-cons to attach and detach from the main screen 2) ergonomically match the size of the existing joy-cons (I can't imagine they will fragment their controllers even more by making new joy-cons). 3) Support the dock even if it doesn't ship in the box To me, the way to make a cheap Switch SKU is not to invest energy/money in making new hardware and new factory lines, but to take things out of the existing SKU. (Remove the dock, remove the HDMI cable, remove the two joy-con bumpers etc). The smaller amount of stuff + improvements in manufacturing should be enough to bring down the price tag of the box. For Switch Pro, in order to continue supporting the existing joy-con / dock environment, I think they will try to improve the screen resolution, the Tegra chip inside (for battery life and performance improvements), more in-unit memory, and maybe increase the screen size to get closer to being "bezel-less". Also personally, I would love support for bluetooth headphones. But then again, it's Nintendo. So they might not make the most rational business decisions :) L&R

Maybe it would lose its magic if done too often, but this kind of speculative episode is fascinating! L&R

How about a "Scale Bound" Switch Pro Exclusive game? Just wanted to mention it when the discussion was about what exclusive a Switch Pro might have.

I'm gonna be honest with this 2 Switch consoles' leak. I'm more excited for a Switch Lite version rather than a Pro version. Switch is now becoming a great system to play multiplayer games. It would be wise to have a cheaper option for children of the family. I can imagine to have the joycons attached to it and sellin it without the dock. With that you can sell that thing for $60 dollars less and man, that is a hot take for me. I have no kids, but the more people you invite to play the Switch, the better, like I wish I could buy a Switch for my girlfriend but $300 is still too much, considering we're still playing mine's. Plus, Pro versions could be more of a problem, not for consumers, but for developers. It is easier to develop a product and then enhanced it like standard console versions for base PS4 and Xbox One and then work for enhanced versions and PC. But to have a Pro console better than base Switch would be a pain. Most of current ports are been developed by other devs such as Panic Button, I don't think that is money savy that all devs can do and it would become like a Hyrule Warriors for New 3ds situation where the base version looks crapier. Thanks for this show, I'm trying my best to keep up and send possible questions whenever you guys ask on Patreon. Pura vida.
