We're just doing it!  We were chomping at the bit to make Mysterious Monsters happen so we made it happen.  In hindsight we probably should have waited for the money, but it's too late now and here it is!  The show will (HOPEFULLY) be monthly and you can watch the first episode now!!  AAAAAHHHH!

1 second in and I love it.

Great Show, so much potential please go full IN. L&R

This is amazing

Huber I hope you enjoyed making this as much as I enjoyed watching it. Hope to see more soon. L+R.

I just imagine one of Ian's AHHH's at the end there

Yui

I love it. I think some of the pacing in the front part of the show might be a little fast. Might just be some of the editing and it was improved in the second half. Maybe a little more time added to explain certain elements like the loot drops? Besides that, I just can't wait to see a variety of contestants. Maybe you could do some kind of tournament of champions type thing after a year or something.

I loved this in so many ways. In particular, all the feedback from the playtest shows, and getting to see the final round was a treat. Explanations as lower thirds and the physical props really sell it. This immediately placed in my top 5 EZA content beside Hall of Greats, Game Sleuth, Trailer Jones, and Box Peek.

This is fantastic

Jones, as a Disney fan I can't believe you didn't remember to thank the Phoenicians haha

Anonymous

So good! Even better than the trial run suggested! Kinda feel like the winner should receive some dumb fake prize instead of just abruptly ending - but that's not really important. New favorite show!!

Anonymous

Didn't bleep the second shit 😂

Anonymous

btw, I NEED a Salmon Globe tote bag... please...

Anonymous

I hope they start to play as different characters like with the betting specials, I think that would be a good way to keep the show fresh as it goes on

Anonymous

I love you guys so much and this is just absolutely amazing thank you SO much

Anonymous

Great show, but one recommendation: Since the winner doesn’t go away with anything besides bragging rights, maybe add some stakes to this? Sort of like the betting specials, but make it something that can be completed quickly and attached to the end of the video.

This was awesome, my wife came home from a horrible work shift and this completely turned her mood around!

Anonymous

I don't think that's necessary. The concept of just getting points without getting any actual prizes works perfectly in British panel shows, so why not here, too? It might take the fun out of it and get too serious if there are actual repercussions to losing the game...

Monika

Amazing work guys, I watched half of the show before having to leave for work (and seriously considering being late to have the extra time to finish it!) and I had a blast! It was fun and entertaining and much better than I expected to be! Can't wait to get home and watch the whole thing (and rewatch it several times after that). Great job, as always! Thank you and happy 3rd anniversary! L&R

Don't think I can add anything that hasn't been said already. This is above and beyond awesome, funny, entertaining, and just brilliant. There were a couple points it seamed things were a bit random and that everyone gets just one turn at a time regardless of right or wrong questions, along with turn order and seemingly arbitrary changes made throughout seemed a bit random. lol. Upon reflection the one action/turn/person actually makes sense as each contestant is like a charm in an old-school turn based rpg!

This was awesome. A sweet mix bag of aesthetics. Two suggestions - 1) A LOT Less US history, maybe more games or related stuff 2) what if the contestants were sometimes a character? A Vampire, Werewolf, Cold Blooded, Ultima Brad? Glad to see this show happen!! I LOVE IT!

Wow, this is pure gold!

Anonymous

This was everything I had hoped it would be. If I had to give one critique, it would be that during the boss battle, the questions should not be visible to the contestants, requiring then to listen to Huber ask it. In some cases they knew the answer just as the question was getting displayed. Part of the fun of these games is to "play along at home". The final round largely removed that element.

Anonymous

Sublime.

One other fun suggestion my wife and I were just discussing. When you die, you enter a Reaper Round. You get asked a question by the Reaper before you are resurrected. In Round 1, a correct answer will cause only a 25% loss of gold, and an incorrect answer loses you 50% gold. In Round 2, a correct answer loses you 25% gold, and an incorrect answer loses you 50% gold, unless you possess one or more equipment items, at which point you must offer one up as tribute instead of the additional 25% loss. Items given up as tribute are lost for the remainder of the game. Would add some extra stakes to death and keep that fun trivia coming.

Man the playtest was already pretty fun, but this? Holy moly guys this is SO fun!

Anonymous

Been watching you guys since GT, felt like a sponge never being a Patreon, this has changed that. SO GOOD!!!

Anonymous

Utterly brilliant! Nothing more to say than I loved it!

Anonymous

Love it! but I feel compelled to say..... Correction: Question at 17:55 is incorrect. It was Sony that was helping Nintendo to build a disc drive for Nintendo. When the deal fell through Sony took their idea and turned it into the Playstation.

Anonymous

This is an incredible feature. Awesome job guys!

Anonymous

Loved it! A few minor suggestions: a) glare on the Lucky Loot was a little distracting b) the TV contestants were using being in the shot was a little distracting c) improve the labels at the bottom of Lucky Loot so more easily read by the audience d) I know this is probably intentional as it feels very EZA (and it's least thing that bugged me), but a brief intro to the types of items / prices or some sort of screen overlay. Part of me feels the fact we don't have a clue what the items are and what they do or what they cost is part of the gag though so that may be fine.

Kenji Fuse

LOVED IT. One of the best intro’s of any media for sure.

Danni-H4

Oh, now i understand. Great job!

This is excellent. Great job to everyone involved. I absolutely loved it. <3

The shadow drop to end all shadow drops <3

So good, guys.

I love this show! It is so good and is another thing that makes EZA standout from similar channels. Looking forward to seeing how the show evolves over time. But like many others I also have some notes: - Can you display the current question in a lower third or something similar? It can be really hard to play along when the camera quickly cuts between the game screen and the contestants. Having Picture in Picture of the contestants on the game screen would also solve this problem. - Have some sort of printed cards or signs for the Lucky Loot Drop board. The bits of paper are the only thing that feels cheap in the show. - Having some sort of brief explination of what the items do and what contestants can buy would be great. You can show it on screen as contestants are chosing what to buy. If the audience being in the dark about these things is intended play it up a lot more otherwise it is just going to be really frustrating for us all going forward. - Huber's suit looked like it was Moire Effecting at times. Not a huge problem but it was a bit distracting. Maybe a darker, flatter suit would work better? - Is the wizard going to have some sort of on-going lore? He seems like a cool guy, I'd like to know more about him.

This was amazing. My only suggestion is to throw a closed sign on the shop to fully show its closed for the final round. Other than that, i'm only sad that we have to wait for the next episode.

Anonymous

Lovvvveddd this!!!!!

Anonymous

Love it, jolly vibes

Anonymous

Incredible. You guys made my day.

Anonymous

I love it! The intro, the setup, the banter. Huber was born to host a game show. My only ask; and this is me totally being greedy, could the winner get a bonus round where they have to go Solo for even more rewards.

Anonymous

This is so good. So so so good.

Anonymous

Loved this idea since the pilot. Excellent concept, and pretty good execution for a first full episode (love the props!) As long as you guys can keep coming up questions this should be around for a good long time. A small recommendation? Randomize the weak point values going forward. If someone remembers where the big values on certain monsters they'll have advantage over guests in ways that mechanic wasn't intended. The crew might have already thought of that, just my 2 cents. Edit: Oh yeah and that intro/music is perfection! Well done.

Anonymous

This is the best thing since the beginning of EZA, not gonna lie, I'm enjoying it way way too much!

Anonymous

So glad I up'd my pledge to help make this real. Great job everyone involved!

Anonymous

"Randomize the weak point values going forward. If someone remembers where the big values on certain monsters they'll have advantage over guests in ways that mechanic wasn't intended." Lol I just assumed they were random, didnt really pay attention, but yeah, this should definately be the case!

Anonymous

This is just amazing. I'll up my pledge just to support this show. So well done. And the production quality is so high!! I love it.

Anonymous

This is amazing

Anonymous

This is the best production I have seen out of EZA -or- GT.. This might be my favorite production..! This is beyond anything I have seen from any of your contemporaries. Outstanding work everyone :D

Anonymous

I’ll take one Salmon Globe t shirt please. :)

Anonymous

I love this, but as I'm watching I'm really worried about Huber getting tangled up/tripping on that wire. #SafetyFirst

Anonymous

I loved it! It had some weird things going with some camera shots and lightning, but I'm sure they'll get better with time. I liked Huber's hosting abilities, and with more episodes I'm sure he'll get more confortable in the role and he will get even better at it. Maybe the Lucky Loot should have more options for prizes (things like +2HP, +20G), that way when they get the really good ones it feels even more amazing and we get more variety from game to game. Also its weird that a part of the board reflects directly the light making that part hard to see. I'm sure the allies are already thinking of how to avoid that but I wanted to point it out just in case. But overall, I loved the game, its well paced and it goes straight to the point. Cant wait for the live edition on saturday and hopefully we get more episodes! EDIT: Shoutout to the intro theme, its amazing!

Anonymous

Guys.. this was amazing. If anyone doubts why the studio was necessary this is the best endorsement yet. Truly entertaining! I can't wait for more!

Anonymous

I think this may be my favourite thing you guys have done. So jolly! Huber in the opening is so good! Can’t wait for more

Anonymous

Awesome show! Great content and fun, jolly vibes. Glad to see how you guys have already worked out basically everything since the play test. It’s already been said but I agree that the items should be explained more. And maybe possibly have graphics as well. It’d be cool to break things up in between rounds to get to know the contestants just a bit more. They can RP of course or be for real. How’s life going right now for them? What are their ambitions? What is their backstory?.. Character investment! Give us that lore!

Anonymous

Yes! This is what I have been hungry for. What a nice surprise! The only thing better than watching Jess self destruct on you know what, was watching Damiani tear apart that one question. Sooo juicey.

Anonymous

I thought the intro to Narcos would be my favourite intro of all time... until Mysterious Monsters came along. Absolutely incredible work guys, really dig the result

Anonymous

This was great. High production values, good drama. Jess is a fun new ingredient in the Ally mix.

Anonymous

This looks like it would be so fun to play!!! Incredible!!!

Anonymous

This is amazing!!! all its missing is some ridiculous jeopardy sound effects when the enemies pop up\

Anonymous

This was wonderful. The framing of this game is amazing... Especially having wizard Ian come out to throw a post-production lightning revive. One thing. Add black borders to on screen text if possible. The monster approaching message was a bit harder to parse visually due to the text being similar brightness to other elements. So good though!
