I had the same reaction about the art style, I like softer tones, the harsh plastic with rough specular textures on the trees and grass really throws me off. But I also think it's neat, and am going to give it a chance. I think part of the problem was they zoomed in on it, which looses the tiltshift effect which I think really sells the style.

Richard's villa got brought up with the possibility of it having the same music as the original, but I wonder if the Allies think that Totaka's song will be in the remake, and if so will it be in the same place? (in the original, the song played in Richard's villa if you went idle for like, 3 minutes or something).

Prolly my favorite Friend Code to date. Just really solid conversations, with lots of intelligent conjecture.

Matt...that was literally the last bet I wanted to ask but couldn't remember since I didn't write it in my notes. I had to come up with one on the spot, and I admit the Richard one was kinda "meh". - Damiani

Hahaha Kyle cracking up at Damiani’s Monster Truck announcer voice “Thunder!”

Same. Easily my favorite Friend Code to date, so I'm even happier it wasn't just a Zelda episode as originally planned.

This is one of the best Friend Code episodes. Great job! I really loved it.

Great episode. Also really appreciate the slick b-roll during the talks, really added something special.

Correction- the "Sooner than anticipated" line from Bill Trinen is in reference to Astral Chain not Bayonetta 3. He was talking about AC, touched on B3 and then redered back to AC and dropped the sooner line.

Audio levels are off. Sounds like damiani was yelling into the mic so when you normalized it his levels are at 0db and everyone else is at -12db... Turn damiani down and everyone else up

As one of the Rune Factory fans who did tear up when Rune Factory 5 was announced, I think Damiani did a fantastic job of explaining why the RF4 SE and RF5 announcements matter. What's more, the studio making RF5 was formed by the producer of the series and has some of the original developers onboard: <a href="http://www.hkm.co.jp/To" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.hkm.co.jp/</a> To put this in perspective, imagine if Capcom announced Okami 2 - by Platinum Games. That's how monumental the RF5 announcement was to us.

I would have loved more coverage of the supplementary games shown in the Japanese version of the Direct... T_T

Great episode! Also really like the choice of the LED set colours, though I got a bit distracted by the light periodically cutting out from the grey wall strip above Damiani (e.g. at the 1:51:22 mark), hopefully it's easy to fix?
