Most of the time we can only finish a game once before we sit down to feast on spoilers from other allies, but the magic of Resident Evil 2 is you can run through it multiple times - and you should. So we noticed lots of things from our multiple visits to the Raccoon City Police Station and beyond. And, as you would expect, Michael Huber has a lot he wants to talk about regarding this spectacular remake.

Been looking forward to this Spoiler Mode. Just finished Leon's Campaign A last night. Started Claire's Campaign B immediately after. Once I'm done with it, I will happily watch the review, this and the full playthrough. Took a sneak peek to see who's in it, love that there's more Allies. I wish Kyle was on as well, since he was with Huber for the full playthrough, though I'm sure he gave his impressions during the full playthrough. Resident Evil 2 is excellent, 10/10 imho. Still scared almost all the time I'm playing it. Now to Resident Evil 3 Remake.

I have watched the RE2 playthrough twice. I love it so much. I might not be able to play it myself on account of being a fraidy cat, but damn it's an incredible game. Watching this immediately.

Great spoiler mode. Agree that the 2nd run is my biggest criticism of a phenomenal game. BTW: The original soundtrack is available separately for 3 dollars/euros...and totally worth it!

I'm 120% sure the inconsistencies and repetition is because this game was designed as 1 story that you either play as Leon or as Claire. That's why it's the same puzzles with minor variations. The whole 2nd run was an afterthought. I think initially, they wanted to keep the scope small cause they weren't sure if this project would be a dud. Then when people reacted negatively about A/B, they made last minute changes to remedy that, and then ran out of time. If they decided to design them as separate complimentary coherent timelines it would've made the project much larger as they would have to design many new areas and story. Now that they know it's a success, hopefully, they should be more comfortable in making expanding DLCs and maybe RE3.

REmake is still my favorite RE game but RE2 Remake is now my second favorite. I always thought RE3 was the scariest RE game out of them all so I really hope RE3 remake is bound to happen now that RE2 sold well.

I played RE2 first while Cait watched and initially she said the same thing as you but after she saw me play through it once she knew where all the scares were so she played it herself and loved it.

A superb game! Loved so much about it from game, sound, art designs to gameplay. The really nailed down what people would want as unlockables too. I felt like it was worth trying to put time in to unlock many of concepts, weapons etc. I hope they remember this feeling and excitement when GOTY conversations come around. #RE2>KH3 :D
