Ian, Amanda, Sophie, and more join me for this special packing-up episode. This is the last five days documented on my phone because everything else was being moved to the studio. Parts of this are very raw and potentially boring, so I invite only those who are interested in watching us take the garage apart to watch it. It’s an unconventional episode, and you can expect more like it as the studio gets finished and I get more time to focus on what remains of my old “office.” I can’t promise when I’ll get back to doing live episodes. I might have new equipment set up in the garage by the 7th of February, but I might also be changing the day each episode airs. Posting dates and times are going to stay irregular, but hopefully all the shiny newness of the studio will make up for it. Lots more fun stuff to show you in just a matter of hours.

Thanks for putting this up Jones, best wishes to you and the crew :)

JONES, you don't have a PS4? How are you going to play RE2

Megan Linart

I’m so happy for you guys best wishes. The space is going to be beautiful because you guys are there! See you on the flip side

Anonymous

Jones, I hope you bought a good PC to stream and edit because laptops cpu's aren't meant to do that. Uploading the podcast to youtube from a PC will be quicker and less headaches.

Anonymous

Almost 100% positive he's said that he is getting a new PC for the garage after the move is done.

Anonymous

dude, grow out the beard!

Anonymous

Love how almost every time you see Sophie during this episode she's chilling around or moving to or away from the same door. Must be her favorite spot to keep lookout from.

Anonymous

If you go to 11:44, Jones points to his own PS4. Moments later he says that he never bought one, but whether it was gifted or something else, at least he owns one. :)

Anonymous

Nice behind the scenes look, love these sorts of things. Looking forward to the new studio!

Anonymous

will the WHITE DOG visit the EZA studio ONE DAY? that would be sweet. :)

Anonymous

I'll be real. I tear up at these posts and videos at this point. I'm so excited and proud and so many other feelings. No one deserves this more than you all do. I think I'm more excited for the studio than Kingdom Hearts 3. I just can't wait for tomorrow night

Anonymous

that white dog was most certainly some kind of metaphor

Anonymous

End of an era. This all feels real now finally. Really excited to see the studio this week!

Anonymous

13 minutes in...... BEEG YOSHI

So Jones I actually liked the video being shot from your phone, quality was still good. Did you know that the 2018 movie "Unsane" was filmed solely on an iPhone? The quality of phones' cameras now are insane. Anyway, good luck with the transition! Excited to see the studio!

Anonymous

Jones, you look tired. Please don't work yourself to death. Regenerate. ;)

Anonymous

Where I live you would get fined for using leaf blower.

Anonymous

Thank you for sharing this. Especially while you're so busy with the move.

Anonymous

What I do for a living is not fullfilling and when I started supporting here I was hoping to be able to watch some people doing what they want and what they love. Thank you so much for your example and for your Drive. You guys inspire me and I am sure so many others to never give up keep trying to get to where they are able to do what they love and want to do. Thank you!

Anonymous

I think we need alot more Sean. What a class act on that bday man. I really needed this video. I really needed Sean, ty allies.

Anonymous

This brought a smile to my face

Anonymous

This was Great!!!

Anonymous

I really enjoyed this format. I've been champing at the bit for more Vlog style videos and Cup of Jones feels like the perfect place for it.

MaxVSTheGames

I just realized now that the garage might not be attached to the house! I thought for sure there was a door going straight from the garage to the house, was I wrong about that?

Alex Castellanos

Jones - The grey/beige paint delineation line is already freaking me out in your potential next CoJ location. Otherwise, thanks for the 'Behind the Scenes' look at all this. I can't wait to see it all unfold tomorrow night!!

Anonymous

This was great, really enjoyed it. I hope there's something similar for moving in to the office!

Anonymous

So...are you not bringing the green screen curtain (Behind you at 17:54) to the studio or...?

Anonymous

I agree! I would if Cup of Jones became more of a vlog type format going forward.

Anonymous

Maximum jolly

Owen

Is Ian the MVP of the studio move?

Anonymous

This isn't boring at all; even though it was shot on your phone this is still a well shot and edited video. Thanks so much Brandon! Happy to have some last footage of the garage to give us all some closure. L&R

Anonymous

Heyyyyyyyy Mr Jones thanks so much for taking the time to shoot this !! I adore any kind of behind the scenes footage, and this was a great time to shoot it so glad you did this !!! So many surprises in that video that i'm not gonna spoil for other patrons :) Love & Respect Mister Jones <3

Anonymous

Loved the video Jones. Great sendoff for the garage studio. Also was that a surfboard I saw laying on the ceiling joist?

VGJunky

Fun video

Anonymous

Brandon i want to say Thank you for that incredible video, that is the kind of stuff that i wanted to be, nothing fancy or goofy, but a genuine raw video. now the question of the week, many of the stream on the ps4 or other console the allies used your psn account, does EZA will have an account for the gaming consoles? or will it remain as is for now on? again Thank you for the video! that was amazing!

Anonymous

This kind of behind the scenes stuff is so cool. It'd be great to see more of this, especially within Cup of Jones. Seems like a perfect 'Patreon' exclusive.

Anonymous

Please god, can we see more of Sean in the future.

Anonymous

Damn, that's a cheap desk (the EZA podcast desk).

M I K E Y M O

The past three years absolutely flew by. Thanks EZA for being around during my end of university and start of career. Makes the day to day more enjoyable. Seeing the garage go is a bittersweet moment for me. Can't wait to see the studio.

Anonymous

You say about buying a new small 4k TV, I suggest getting a 4k monitor, they only do big 4k Tvs but a monitor you can get one 28 inch, I did that when I need space. No HDR though.

Anonymous

Thanks for a great update video! You deserve that space after sharing it with us for nearly three years, as does Amanda after tolerating the good vibes for so long :D

Anonymous

Dear Jones I never realized how small the garage was. Thank you for the longsuffering.

Anonymous

Now that you're the big 4-0 do you think the beard may make some more appearances?

Anonymous

Feel kinda bad for you guys having to make videos out of this. Moving can be enough of a job on its own, without having to worry about doing that as well. Just another example of the many ways you guys go above and beyond to please people. Happy and excited for you guys to get settled into EZA’s new home.

Anonymous

I never realized that the desk was round.

Anonymous

wait, but where did the couch go if it's was raining?

Anonymous

There's an outdoor umbrella, and they'd cover it with a tarp. New studio = no need for tarps.

Anonymous

Hey Jones, since you'll still being using the garage for editing and recording, are you able to deduct your garage space as a business expense? Will that be under the same umbrella as the EZA company or does it become a separate personal deduction? Thanks

Anonymous

No. The beard makes him look old and worn out. Clean-shaven Jones looks like the kind of go-getter Easy Allies needs.

Anonymous

Welcome back home Dr Jones :)

RJC

So happy you guys finally got that studio , looking forward to everything this week. :D

Anonymous

How come the other allies didn’t come to help

Anonymous

New Paterson tier, or fundraiser Goal: No Shave November

Anonymous

Does it feel like you're inviting us into your home now more than it did almost three years ago? When we saw the garage for the first time it was already Easy Allies. I think this is the most "Jones" we've seen the garage and somehow it's actually cozier than ever even with the lack of art or chotskies L&R

Anonymous

Now that was a good video! Nice job! Hi Jones! I know it was poorly timed last week, but here are some more merch ideas! In addition to last weeks Research Break. A chaaaaat, Jolly, Shoutout, Hottake, BONDS, Bad and/or Good vibes, ITS BEN. I know it won't happen anytime soon, but I just wanted to tell you and put it out there before I forgot. Peace!

Anonymous

So pumped for you guys!!!

Anonymous

Tell Sean he was great in the video! Super excited for you guys and all that you will do this year

Anonymous

Fits into both Personal and Business question! :o There was a short lived series on game trailers called GameTrailers of Thrones which only had less than 10 episodes and featured you and Amanda along with other guests as you guys discussed both the show and the books of the Song of Ice and Fire Universe! This was personally one of my favorite shows and I would love to see something similar for the final season, if you plan to watch it before the final books come out... if they ever do :(.... Congrats on all the recent successes and hope you are able to sustain it and build upon it in the future.

Anonymous

Question: has any thought put into how streams with odd camera setups will work in the studio (eg, card game streams)? If so, can you give us an idea of how you think these will work? Also: WHAT'S BEHIND THAT OTHER DOOR!?!?

Anonymous

Hi, Jones. Firstly, sorry for the longest comment of CoJ, won't happen again. Just watched over 6 hours of Cup of Jones straight, was behind and wanted to catch up. I also watched Huber Syndrome's Garage Farewell and New Studio Tour, the initial montage of the later almost made me cry. I'm very happy for you guys and the community. My question is: Can you please name your 3 favorite movies from each genre you can remember? Also, since you mentioned that you plan to bring Sophie to the studio, please don't forget to safe-proof it for animals. That's it. I have many questions and comments, but won't make it any longer. I wish you all the best! L & R

VGJunky

I know that the studio is primarily for production but have you heard any of the Allies mention coming there to hang out regularly? I know it's a bit of a drive for many, but maybe they can take advantage of the AC during the summer heat PS. hope you get a chance to pick up the mail this week Edit - you did

Anonymous

G'day Jones. What will you put up in the office room to enforce library-level quietness? Maybe a poster of the James Wan movie Dead Silence? I feel like Huber would respond well to that.

Anonymous

G'day Jones! I loved the studio reveal on Tuesday, and I'm so excited for what comes next. Are there any plans to dress up the streaming space with art, toys, etc. to give that brick wall a touch more life? L&R James (@blindly_fumblin)

Anonymous

Do you guys plan on putting anything in the background of the podcast set? I've watched the recent Tabletop that was filmed in the studio and I think it looks a little sterile. I know you've said that you want the streaming space to look cozy (which it definitely is and you've done a great job with it) but I think the podcast set should look cozy too. Adding some decorations in the background would really give it some personality. L&R

Anonymous

Buongiorno Mr. Jones, after spending one pre work day night (3:00-7:00 AM in my country) to see the "reveal stream" and be able to say "I was there", and seeing the first content produced in the studio (Table Top Escapades), I decided to write in for the first time in years of patreon(ing?).. And - in additionof the deserved congratulations for this milestone - my feedback is that this is a great step for EZA, the light option is really interesting and the space is professional but cozy.. but it really miss something, in my opinion some "branding", have you though to put Easy Allies somewhere on the wall, or EZA, or some logo.. if someone is not paying attention or really watching the full video it will be hard to idendify the allieas as a succesfull group/company.. (I don't say is a "fiduciary duty" of yours, but...); PS: sorry for the english I'm an Italian living in Barcelona/Spain for the last 10 years in a region where they speak 2 different approved languages...)

Anonymous

Hey Brandon! No question. I just wanted to say I love you and the group! It’s such a treat to watch your shows and streams. Truly feels like I’m hanging out with y’all. The new studio is absolutely beautiful by the way! The fact that this is all happening because of the support of the community is truly moving and I’m proud to be part of it! This is the way it oughta be in my opinion. Congratulations again and cheers to the many years to come! - Matt

Anonymous

Brandon! Congratulations on the new studio -- I have a suggestion for the studio that is silly but I thought it would be fun! Right above the designated Studio Rest Room you could put a light-up sign indicating "Research in Progress" when it is occupied. Just a silly thought and a nod to an EZA staple while streaming. The research break. The future is so bright for the allies, I can't wait to see the studio a month from now, a year and onward!

Anonymous

Hey Brandon! Congrats on the Beautiful new Studio! It is exactly as us fans imagined it. Ever since I saw the stream graphics yesterday, I saw an entire company-wide redesign of all the graphics from YouTube, to the website, to the shows that was on Behance . Is there any way you could utilize them for an entire redesign for all the graphics of everything? It's very similar to the look of the stream graphics that I really like, and feel there you deserve this after the results of your new Studio.

Anonymous

Do you have plans to roll out the refreshed logo everywhere online and win updated merch? The new look is great!

Anonymous

The studio tour video was lovely. Almost brought me to tears. So well done. The sets look incredible, the other rooms look so cool and it's amazing to think of all you can do is this new studio. Also, the video itself you all put together is exceptional. It's heartwarming, it's funny, it's captivating; I've watched it three times already. Congratulations and I'm so proud to support all of you.

Anonymous

love the videos, but can you clarify one thing. You said "this is my PS4, then this is Easy Allies Ps4 because you never bought a PS4? No biggie, just clarify.

Anonymous

Hello Jones! I'm hyped about the studio, as we all are. But, I do have a few concerns I would like to address. I feel like while it was a big deal to EZA and it's fanbase, there wasn't much word being spread about it outside of that. This was the dream from day one and I feel like not doing more advertising, like pushing to be on the front page of Twitch, is a missed opportunity to help spread the word about EZA. Are there any plans in the works to do more advertising now that you have a studio in order to help grow the brand and bring in even more allies and, in turn, more patrons? Will there be new Patreon tiers or overhauling of the current goals? Are there any plans in the works to shake things up and move into a new era of EZA 2.0 or will things such as the ones mentioned above be saved for a later date, such as the 3 year anniversary in March? Thanks and congrats! Love & Respect, MistahShowtime

Anonymous

Hey Jones! Congrats on recently reaching 200k subscribers on Youtube! Have you given any thought to increasing the price of the podcast sponsor tier as your number of viewers increase and that advertisement space becomes more valuable? Do you have any kind of mathematical equation in place that would determine “X cost” based on “Y viewers”? I think charging more for your sponsorship to reach a larger group of people is perfectly reasonable.

Joseph La Russa

Hey Jones! Two studio related questions: have you considered putting a backdrop or cover over the brick wall on the streaming stage? It's the only thing I don't like about the studio; in my opinion, it's quite ugly and cold-feeling. Second, what was the thought behind where the window into the control room is located? It doesn't seem like Ian can easily see in or you see Ian. I imagined it would be a big rectangle right behind the monitors, so I'm curious why it is where it is and why it is that small size. L&R!

Anonymous

Woah, you don't like the brick wall? This is the first complaint I've heard about it! I think it's the main thing giving it a cozy vibe.
