Ben and Brad unleash their inner vampires to discuss the wild ride that is Hellsing: Ultimate.

The next EZAnime will premiere on January 31. It will be about Devilman Crybaby.

**Quick note everyone. Because EZAnime tends to be a more free-flowing, evolving discussion, I'm not sure how useful time stamps are to it anymore. It doesn't have as many discrete sections as say something like Frame Trap. However, if you are someone that uses the time stamps and really gets a lot out of them, let me know and that will inform whether or not I use them in the future for this show. - Ben

One of my favorites.

I have a suggestion for the anime podcast, take it or leave it. I definitely felt there was a little bit of problem keeping an engaged discussion about the show. It felt like most of your feelings on the show could have been covered in under 20 minutes without really struggling to come up with things to talk about. I think it would be better to spread things out, similar to how Brad was able to go into Naruto at the end... but a more even distribution of that. I'd rather hear about things you guys have a lot of things to say and talk about rather than struggle to focus on a single show every time for almost an hour. I fell off listening to talk about hellsing after 15-20 minutes and then perked up again when I heard Brad get excited again while talking about Naruto (And I'm not even a super huge fan of that show). Whatever you guys decide, I support it. Keep up the good work!

I could imagine ezanime have a similar structure to Huber syndrome. Where we have a small show as an appetizer. In that show the allies give us a few quick ideas about what's great to watch or what they currently like. Than we maybe get a small stream like talking syndrome where the allies can interact with the community about the shows they discussed in the current episode and maybe current patron picks...this could be either monthly or each anime season(e.g. fall, summer, winter etc.) . Just an idea. L&R Alex

I just watched the original anime, I watched a couple of episodes of ultimate. I won't judge the new serie, but a MAJOR takeaway from the original anime for me is the OST, the rest is between 'OK' and 'meh', but the music (from Yasushi Ishii) is what stuck with me. Try: World without logos Soul rescuer Bodhisattva Cathedral Soul Police Chapter's Reverse Side Circumstance They are huge, stylized and stick in your head for years, still listening to them without ever getting tired of it.

Great episode. If I remember correctly the author of Hellsing, much like the author of Berserk, would release a chapter then play Idolmaster for six months then maybe release another chapter and then back to Idolmaster. This could explain the bad pacing in the later part of the show.

Watching this on Toonami for the first time made me realize that I do, in fact, have a limit on violence in anime. The attack on England....hoo boy. That was too much. Overall, the series was worth watching, but I can honestly say I have no interest in seeing it a second time.

Always love listening to EZAnime. I loved this show back in highschool and would painstakingly wait for leaks and news about the next chapter. Awesome to see you guys giving your take on it. Keep it up!

Just in regards to the original Hellsing anime - fantastic soundtrack <3

I wonder if Idolmaster is meant to take a break of the shocking violent stuff they put out, or maybe it's the inspiration and nightmare fuel that makes that kind of works.

It's the windwaker turned into an anime. But instead of being subtle about the implications they show them with all detail.
