This set of 40 hi-res images is now a part of the massive Archive folder for $25 patrons and above. Consider upgrading now to access thousands of images and videos.Waterfall shoots always look amazing, but damn they are HARD for models, especially in places like the Pacific Northwest, where all these rivers are formed by snowmelt.  The water is NOT warm, and actually, despite this being the depths of summer, it wasn't that warm on this particular day.  If I had been there with just some random friend, they probably would have refused to go into this water.

Kat Malone is totally a PRO though, and in this kind of situation I was really grateful to have a pro model with me - she just WORKED it.  Worked through the shock of the chilly water, pushed down the chills, and even made the chill work for her to get some really beautiful, evocative images that day. The goosebumps and water drops are everything to me in these shots.

We only shot in the water for maybe half an hour. By then Kat was chilled to the bone and craving whiskey, but we were both exhilarated by the place and the experience and the images.
