Content

For those of you at my higher tiers, you may have noticed I didn't post as much content as usual.  In part this was because i spent two weeks in April in Japan, working on the house my wife bought in a farming village there, and tour guiding some friends around the Japanese countryside. However, both before and after I left, I shot up a storm, and was SO fortunate to work with so many talented, fascinating, beautiful models.

Spring had arrived, so it was time to start taking people into my local favorite canyons to enjoy the creeks and critters and greenery while it lasts here in LA, as well as traveling further afield to a hot spring in a National Forest about 3 hours from the city with not one, but two models (although I guess my friend Claren, below, is not technically a model, but she models for me) to shoot in various places along a river and in the hot springs.

I met up with Dahlia Datura to execute a long planned fruit shoot.  I had been saving the last dozen passion fruits i took from the huge vine we have growing in our yard, and they were good and ripe by the time Dahlia's schedule line up with mine and we found a spot in front of a little waterfall to shoot for hours and make a mess.

I had the good fortune to meet and honor to shoot with a popular Suicide Girl, Eirenne, to take her out for one of her first ever nature shoots.  The weather was a bit sunny for my tastes, and I couldn't shoot at the locations I wanted as they were a bit crowded on a nice spring time Saturday morning, but Eirenne really delivered and turned out to be one of the kindest hearts i have encountered in ages.

One of the models I took to the hot springs, Kitty Malone, stayed with me for a week while she was in town doing shoots every day. I resurrected my #candychaos bedroom set so that at night we could get weird and make some fun stuff in the dark.  Kitty Malone always delivers!!

I don't know HOW i will sort through all this stuff, get it edited, and break it down into posts. It might take me a while, but you all will get a steady pounding of posts in your inbox with lots of fun to be found in them!  Thank you to those who stuck around after a light month last month - I truly appreciate it and will make it up to you in the coming weeks!
