Misty Morning with Kasi (Patreon)

I just uploaded an exclusive set of 26 images of my friend Kasi for my $20 Patrons to the Memory Vault Folder (Look in the folder for Kasi Misty Morning).  I shot this in early 2017 during the tremendous rains California received that winter.  By summer that foliage that grew because of those intense rains became tinder, and California has since been having intense wildfires as it burns off.  The cycle is becoming more and more extreme as the climate changes. As someone who goes out on trails a lot, checking the same trails over many years, this sudden change (geologically speaking) is really apparent and can't be denied.

But I digress.  When the late winter rains struck hard i was determined to try and make some images up in the mountain trails - the only problem being I would need brave souls with free time - brave enough to run around naked in the cold wetness, and free time to make a plan last second to hike into the mountains whenever a storm might hit.  Luckily I had some volunteers - two of which were baristas I had met at different coffee shops (I used to spend each morning in a coffee shop, getting to know my neighbors, and drawing), both of whom are aspiring actors.  Kasi in particular was drawn toward being in fantasy stories (a la Game of Thrones) and had been trying to tone up for such roles, so she jumped at the chance to make some images that captured that vibe.  

After i sent her the resulting images, she messaged me a few days later to say that shoot had really pricked up her confidence, as well as scoring her free drinks for more than male friend of hers who she had shown some of the images to! :D I suppose that means we did something right. Right?
