When we photographers get up in the morning and see some clouds hanging over the mountains east of Los Angeles we get excited, but we are never quite sure what we'll see if we take the chance on rounding up a model and packing gear into the car and start driving. Will the clouds be too high? Will there be mist in photogenic spots? Will it be thick enough to make it worth the hours spent up there to shoot?  If the clouds look juicy though, and a model is willing you have to take the chance, because its a pretty special look for a nature shoot that is hard to replicate.

Jessica and Shelby were visiting LA at the end of Spring, which doesn't seem like the best time for moist clouds here, but our friend and fellow photographer Moss von Faustenberg thought we ought to risk it and make the drive.  We were rewarded with dense mist along the Highway 2 into the Angeles National Forest, and also at one of his favorite spots to shoot in the mountains. He was giddy at our luck, and I had quite a good time documenting him photographing the two models, as well as snapping some pics of my own to share with my $5, $10 and $15 patrons.
