Sadie sat in the isolated medical unit within the FabPharma headquarters quietly. She was still going over the events of the past few days.

Looking down at her chest for the umpteenth time that day, she could only bite her lower lip in continued, anxious concern. Oh, how the board members oggled her when Alice presented her like a piece of meat after she had recovered from her first surgery. Being accustomed to quietly accompanying Mr. Montgomery as mostly his shadow - and often times pleasure servant in their private times - this new attention at being thrust in the spotlight was incredibly uncomfortable to her.

"You know, I'm going to have to figure something out when it comes to leaving you alone!"

Sadie started at the sound of Alice's misleadingly cheery voice, reflexively wincing as she saw her saunter into the room, full of mischievous purpose.

"H-Hello Miss Alice..."

Alice grinned, "Aw, always so downtrodden," she purred as she closed the distance between them, teasingly pinching her cheek, "Well, hopefully this cheers you up. The board members decided to actually not submit you to any more transformations yet," she twisted her mouth into a mock pout, "Sadly," she added.

Sadie's eyes gleamed, "R-really?"

Alice crossed her arms, her hetero chromatic eyes studying her intensely, "Mm-hmm..." she murmured, "However, that doesn't mean you're off the hook."

Sadie raised her eyebrows but kept quiet, her eyes glued to Alice's, who kept her gaze gaze fixed for a few more seconds before turning from her, walking over to one of the medical unit's containment lockers.

"Yes, yes. Lots of talk of what the future holds for you, lots of plans," Alice teased as she rummaged through the locker, the clinking of glass and metal going off as she searched for something, "But all that requires a bit more preparation... a little more resistance from your end, too, I guess."

She finally turned around, brandishing a single injector filled with a familiar, glowing substance, "Tilt your neck back, this one has to go in your carotid artery."

Sadie gritted her teeth and did as she was told, inhaling sharply as she felt the needle going in her neck, her vision becoming hazy as she felt the tingling rush of the Nereidyl through her bloodstream.

Alice drew back, looking at her quizically before bursting out giggling, "Look at that, your nipples got really hard," she smiled impishly, "You really ARE a sucker for punishment, aren't you?"

Sadie blushed almost immediately, the haziness quickly fading from her mind, "No, no!" she exclaimed, looking at Alice with pleading eyes, "What was in that serum? You just said the board didn't want any changes!"

Alice smirked, "I said they didn't want any changes... yet! Let's just say this is just a little something extra to get you nice and ready for what's coming, hmm?"

Sadie sighed, looking down at herself again as she slumped, sitting on the edge of a surgery unit.

She didn't feel any different, but still... what did she just get injected with?
