I can understand how that goes. You know, I wonder about morph teeth in this universe - do they reduce the fangs considerably to make the morphs more appealing or "safer" to humans?

Question is, did KC do those things to herself, or did her parents make her go through those procedures? If it was the latter, then that's a sign of over-eager parents who want their child to win, not matter how many procedures it'll take, how much it'll cost and pulling out all the stops to see she wins by any means - even if she never asked for it... ...however, if it's the former, then it's only hop, skip & a jump from trying to win by honest means, to winning DIShonestly via cheating, which could result as form of bad blood in the family history, and that could mean a visit from the Blood Doctor who'll remove the bad blood and replace it with some other liquid, but only for 3 times*... (* = See Jamie Rix's 'Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids' story of the same name either in the books or on TV)
