The real question is did *she* lose her grip intentionally... Obviously I expect nothing less than imitating a mooring bollard completely from Koji. He can easily anchor several times his weight to the pool deck, but the bollard doesn't get blamed if the ropes weren't properly knotted and secured, and things go adrift... Neither Koji (on this specific day.) nor a bollard are likely to reach out and grab things that are slipping off... I think she's up to some subterfuge of her own and she knew for sure that he'd just stand there like a rock as she feigned dragging him into the pool by putting herself way out past her center of gravity... $5 says that she let go of his arm intentionally...

Actually, if you look at the bottom of the last panel, you'll see his tail. That means, for whatever reason, he jumped into the pool as well.

Well it may later be established that she wasn't accounting for his altered state of mind... (grasps at straws to save the $5, lol.) Hopefully he left his wallet and phone in his "other pants" because that's the worst part of being thrown in a pool... Gotta dry out the paper stuff, as well as the leather wallet itself, put in an insurance claim for the phone, and frequently as in my case the first time I was blissfully unawares of the opportunity to get wet at the mercy of others, call the doctors and pharmacy to arrange for a replacement script for however many of your pills were with you when you hit the water. Lol.

Unironically I am "that guy" as the mob is lifting you bodily for the run up to the toss who's "pickpocketing" your wallet and phone to safety in the few seconds between the grabbing and the gravity... Obviously my own pockets are already empty aside from the car keys. :) That was a lesson I didn't need repeated, and I've found myself in a pool at least 5 times since 2007, lol.

I was thinking about this.. I am sure in this reality the pool filters work quite differently(probably better) considering there is a lot more fur than in our reality.
