I just wanted to thank everyone so much for the show of support today! I am very grateful!

Turns out that I also have to pay for the glass that was replaced (not the landlord, which sucks) so any excess will go to helping with that. 

Stupid thief broke the huge door sized pane to unlock the door instead of the small window next to the door, so it is so much more expensive than it could have been.


Thank you all again so, so, so much. Every bit, no matter how small you think it is (or said as much in the notes) is super appreciated and I love every each and every one of you! <3

How is that on you? The landlord is always the one that pays for maintenance.

That is what I thought and I will have to look into what my lease says. The only other time I was broken into, the landlord (previous one, he just sold to a new guy) paid for it for me. I don't know if it was because he was required to or because he felt sorry for how poor I am. lol Of course, this is a commercial property so it may be different to a residential property.

A lot of leases have 'glass clauses' making tennants liable for breakage of glass.
