Greetings,

In today's edition, I'll be examining the moral behind "Princess Spike", an episode that I've been hearing a lot of differing opinions on - and none of them good.

Some believe it was botched due to the circumstances. Some believe it's a clone of other episodes' morals. I disagree. While I will admit that it shares similarities with "Twilight Time", this is more about what happens on the other side of that problem and deals with the implications that someone's motivation to help may be rooted in selfishness. This can be a tough concept for a lot of people to wrap their head around.

This is not to say that it's wrong to want to help someone. But if you need to act for them - make sure you get permission, learn the ropes, stay within your bounds and do so for the right reasons. Problems like what we saw in this episode will be far less likely to happen.
