Greetings, Today I'd like to talk about what it means to take your ambition too far as well as what it means to be a part of a team. I'm sure we've all heard the saying, "It's lonely at the top." This is because many people who get there through Lightning Dust's methods trample on everyone around them in the process. Whatever worldly goal you were trying to achieve, they isolated everyone else in the process and now lack the most important thing - someone to share it with. This is considering the off chance they get there in the first place. Karma has a tendency to come around and humble most people that think and act like this. When this episode aired, I watched it once. It seemed odd to me that they'd pair up the cadets if they were trying to see which ones were the best. I let it sink in for a day and watched it again the next. This is when I realized that the only pony making this a competition was Lightning Dust. It was never meant to be a competition. This is the Wonderbolt ACADEMY, a school, a boot camp. It's supposed to be training for what the Wonderbolts are. Quite possibly, to instill the value of the team into the cadets. It makes sense to have a course like this, after all. The Wonderbolts get a lot of time in the spotlight in Equestria. They probably attract a lot of showboaters and big egos who are looking for that spotlight. Also consider how easily Rainbow Dash could have become lightning bolt if she hadn't started learning these things since, "May the Best Pet Win."
