Hi Everyone, Derek here.

Hope you've all had a great January so far.

I just wanted to fill you all in on the progress on D401. Overall, things are still progressing fairly normally. I am probably a couple days behind the estimated timeline shared on Dec31, as I had to do a few more unexpected light rebuilds. However, the QA testing is ahead of schedule, so it's probably safe to say we are still mostly on track!

Some more good news on my end. After years struggling with slow internet, (as I live in a very rural area) I have finally been connected to FTTH. This will prove extremely useful in the testing process as it's much easier to send out QA builds on a gigabit upload speed compared to my old 10mbps.

I have included the latest version of the progress plan. As you can see, we are making very good progress. I think we will have 4 more QA builds, with at least one of those starting this week.

Finally, I've decided to record a quick little treat for all of you. This is mainly to illustrate the enourmous performance improvements made in V1.5 compared to V1.4. Of course, the room I have chosen is none other than the lounge; the source of many of the problems in V1.4.

One of my bugbears I noticed in the video is the speed of movement, i find it quite frantic in 401 and you miss the little details when moving, any chance to slow the normal pace down but keep the quick speed when you want to get somewhere? Also why do the windows have that blurred look when moving? Loving the better lighting and higher quality, love you can see the sea from the first class lounge.

I'm havin a good time with the "Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean" sinking demo on the steam plattform and a lot of my online friends would love to see THG finally headin' there soon :) Great progress and thanks for all those monthly updates.

I believe Demo 401 V1.5 will be released on Steam a little later as Project 401.
