I managed to secure an appointment for my father (since he got some sleep today while my wife took care of his dog for him today) at the end of the day, and I drove him the over 200 miles each way to take his dog to the vet to have him euthanized. The outpouring of people buying reduced comics covered the bills needed for this. My father's dog was ready to go as well, and did not fight the euthanasia, even passing immediately after the second injection was given. Normally the process takes about fifteen minutes with most dogs his size, but this one took only about one minute. No more pain, no more struggles, my father got to spend the last minutes with his dog and thanks to people helping out didn't have to dive into his savings to cover the costs.

Thank you everyone who helped out and those who helped spread the word.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Greatly appreciate it. My father has another dog who is getting up there and has several very noticeable tumors. I'm already putting money aside for that one just in case. Might be another year or two, though, since this dog doesn't let anything get in his way.
