Holy hell, that was not fun.

To help get myself refocused, friend of the Patreon Eala Dubh invited me to come out to the UK for a vacation, and to help him sort through his deceased brother's game collection so that he could sell the items and make more room at his place.

Unfortunately, one of the first days I was here, there was a surge in the outlet I was using, enough to throw the breaker. Unfortunately, since the UK is a higher voltage than the US, the adapter that I had been using did not stop the surge. Nor did the US-based surge protector that I was using. The surge killed the surge protector, the power supply brick to my main laptop, the power supply brick to my writing laptop and the power plug to my iPad.

Even though my laptop is made by a company that has a UK-based headquarters as well, their UK office does not sell the power supplies. Nor do any of the computer shops in this country. Nor did anyone on eBay have one. Plenty in the USA, not here. Instead, I had to order a new one from China.

That arrived in the UK on the first day of the UK's postal service's strike.

I have the best of luck, don't I?

Anyways, the power supply has arrived today, and I have gotten it on my laptop. I am charging the thing and will hopefully have no more hiccups. I'm using UK-based surge protectors and UK-based plugs/power supplies for the meanwhile until I get back to the USA.

Unfortunately, I could not get anything done for the Patreon during this time. Scripts and payments are out to artists, but even when I got files to pass on, I could not check them to verify them.

So nothing new has been able to post. For that, I'm sorry, yet again.

But anyone who knows me IRL understands that I'm constantly besieged by bad luck. And this time, Eala Dubh himself got to witness it as he was near the breaker when it got thrown.

I will be checking the inks to the next page of the NFTF comic, getting back to more script writing, sending more money to artists and trying to get everyone back on board with getting artwork to post. Let's hope there are no more problems with my laptop while I'm over here.

Eala Dubh is a name I haven't heard in a long time! Glad that things got sorted.
