Sad news about a previous comic... (Patreon)

I have sad news to share with you guys.

I have had many issues dealing with another person who I worked with earlier and tried to help out. He runs a Patreon that he lost, then regained, doing something similar to what I'm doing now. Unfortunately, this person has no idea of boundaries and does not care about copyrights or treating artists fairly.

I was working with one of his artists when she tried to extort me to continue paying for art/work that I did not ask for to get work that I did want. I fired her from this project and she went after some of the artists working for me like Carlos not to use any character likenesses she drew for the character sheets originally posted here that I had hired her to draw based entirely on my writing. So we had to delay things a bit and redraw all the early characters to make sure she could no longer have any possible reason to bother the artists I was working with.

One of the other artists we still worked with had one stipulation to continue working with me: that nothing would be done in any way with the person who ran the other Patreon. Unfortunately, this artist, Wexer, stopped responding about November of 2020. The comic was never completed and it's time to realize that it never will be by her.

Unfortunately, this other person running the Patreon has taken it upon himself to start reposting her artwork on his gallery without getting any permission from me, and has even reposted a piece of artwork that was exclusive to this Patreon and not shown anywhere else.

I am talking to FurAffinity about getting this removed. But now I will have to pay extra funds to involve a lawyer to ensure that several contracts are refined and will require all other persons involved with this project to sign these to get any work from me ever again.

This week I will be deleting all of Wexer's artwork done for us, so you will need to download this if you want any of it moving forward. And I will be much more careful about those I hire to do anything for this project.

This is stressful, but there's no point in having exclusive content if someone's just going to repost it for free and without permission. And when the artist is no longer communicating so that you can find out what's happening, that makes things even more frustrating.
