I have been trying to find artists to do some gift art just as a thanks to anyone subscribed to this Patreon. You guys are helping to extend my ability to continue to pay for this until it is self-sustaining.

Unfortunately, I have found some difficulty with this premise. I kept finding quality artists who posted that they needed to take commissions, and their prices were fair for the art tat they offered. But once I asked about getting one based on what they were offering and said that I wanted to post it as a thank you image to this Patreon, not advertise it elsewhere or charge anyone anything else for it, the artists consistently asked for about double their rates to get the same image for "commercial use."

This was on top of me making clear that it was just a thank you image and that the artist was free to post it to his or her gallery immediately.

It is strange to watch artists who do not understand what a commercial use entails and to assume that it automatically means that the same work must get double the price.

I'll look around some more next week, but I should have had two or three gift pieces to give you guys by now had artists not tried to get extra funds from me for no reason.
