Please stop trying to get premium content for free (Patreon)

I'll probably not change anyone's minds here, but here's the reality of things, those who constantly want pay content for free:

It costs money to produce. The artists here get paid up front for their work and it is not cheap. This Patreon is running at a huge loss hoping to break even in the near future to make it all worthwhile.

So we're making brand new transformation-themed comics from quality artists, at least three new pages per week, and the only return asked is that people pay what is requested that they pay. That's it.

We've released some free comics already. We have given back to everyone just to say we know you want new comics for free. There you are. And again, the only thing we ask in return is that if you want the premium comics, please just pay what is asked for them.

I personally have been around the TF community since the mid-1990s. I have watched artists pack it in because they could not keep their transformation art going and pay the bills. Far too many people expected their artwork for free, even when they wanted to earn a little money off it. But when working at Walmart pays better than doing transformation comics, then why would they continue drawing for people who don't care about the artist?

I've seen a few people requesting the comics from this Patreon posted for free. I can't stop it nor will I likely try, as it's a huge hassle with little to no rewards. But this is just something I do not understand beyond people just being too selfish and self-centered to understand what they're really asking for.

You are expecting others to pay for your fetish and you want to give nothing back in return. You don't offer to buy something and trade it to get something else in return. You're not chipping in when you do get something for free and enjoy it. No, you want people to spend their money, their time and their resources to make you feel good about yourself, and you don't care whether artists leave, accounts like this close, or people see what the fandom is like and steer clear.

You are actively harming the chances of getting quality comics or such that you want for free right now. Think longer term!

I will continue to produce quality, premium comics, animations, etc., so long as I can afford to do so. But with artists in the past, when it's better that I and the artists do other work that pays well, why would we stick with this account? And then all you'll have is the current stock of comics that you got for free but now you'll have to hunt for a new source for that content that you want instead of just enjoying what you already have.

Not only this, but there are artists out there already producing free transformation content. If you want free stuff and they're willing to give you free stuff, what is the problem with enjoying that free stuff?

I'm flattered that you like what we're doing enough that you want it. But if you want it and I'm offering it at a price, either please pay that price and enjoy it, or find something else that's legally available for free. If you do get our premium stuff for free and you liked it, feel free to send a few bucks our way, even if it's just subscribing at the $2/mo. tier for a month or two. Every little bit does count here.

All in all, don't hurt the people you want to keep making things that you want. You have alternatives. You can just pitch in what is asked to help keep the content flowing. But stop being selfish about this and maybe you will still get free stuff legally as things improve for the artists. We do want to help out, but we also want to pay our bills. The artists won't stick around if they aren't getting paid, after all. And it's extremely difficult to find quality artists who are willing to draw fetish stuff like this.

Are we good? Or have you just felt more inclined to steal just because I dared to say how wrong it is and why? We'll find out...
