It's been a bit too long with no clear updates. To compensate it, I finally can declare that we aim to release the demo by the next month. So far, the most parts are close to be finished, and most scenes are already integrated into the game. The combat falls behind somewhat, but in general sense its functional (and considerably more so than Strive's). 

So what's going to be in the demo? 

  • 4 recruitable characters (including MC) with 3 combat skills each
  • 2 areas and about 7 different enemies to engage and fight
  • 3 Adult scenes (2 'teasers' and 1 complete scene)
  • 5 different upgrades, crafting and trait system

As combat is not quite finished, it's somewhat difficult to estimate average time to play through the content, but we aim to go for at least half hour to hour (maybe more, if you decide to experiment with crafting). 

I've also outlined the whole story, the conflict, and fairly satisfied with the direction we plan to go. Besides that, I'm pretty happy with whole work which went into different parts of framework as many of it can be easily applied to strive 2 in future, and many things I've done badly are now corrected and streamlined. I also hope those little parts will be noticed by the audience, as I deem it as a major improvement of my game design.

Nice, congrats! Because I'm a nitpicky jerk, an observation on the dialogue box here. The contrast on that text is kinda horrible and virtually invites eyestrain. Checking the previous post with a textbox in it, it looked a bit different, so I'm hoping that big options button there has text formatting stuff. Probably does, Strive did after all, just making note. Really a fan of the artstyle, and the portrait textbox setup. If it's going into Strive 2 as well, along with 1's portrait import feature, could really help out with the custom characters.

Each major character is going to have a different color assigned to them. We might add an option to change their respective text colors to options, but that will probably be after the demo release. Demo is firstly going to be a proof of concept. Nicer stuff will be coming after that.
