I'll be giving some more info on the new project I've announced about a month ago. Quite some work has been made and for now I'll be focusing on Strive's new post-end game area in next weeks, so here's some details and arts regarding the next project. Today we will be overlooking the some of the main characters.

Arron

Arron is a youngest prince in his kingdom. While being prince provides a luxurious life, being youngest one made him unsuitable for rulership. Realizing that, he eventually grew bored and disinterested with whole nobelty affairs as his brother were preparing to take over the throne.

However, since he also could not just leave and do what he wants, he found joy in screwing around with other people, who had little option but to bear with it. Arron often went long ways just to pull out something shocking to his family for the sake of getting a couple of laughs and by the story's beginning it was his general pastime. That, and chasing numerous women around the castle, who were commonly captivated by his charm and status.

All that, however, quickly made his other surroundings rather agitated, eventually leading to painful consequences.

Rose

Rose is the only Arron's personal servant and a second main character. Being bought as a slave at the very young age, she spent most of her life at the castle near Arron, whom she sees as her rightful master and despite his dubious activities, is very loyal to him. Her status cause others to treat her rather poorly, except for Arron himself, who even insists on calling her his 'pet' instead of a slave.

Rose possess a serious and calm personality, contrary to her master. She's rather content with her life, although she wishes for her master to take things more responsibly. That is, before she ends up with him in whole new place and play the role of his partner.

Ember

The game will have a extensive crafting system and blacksmith is an obvious choice here. Ember have only became blacksmith recently and found your settlement by chance. After some consideration, Arron allows her to stay and work for him which she acknowledges with great joy.

Despite her appearance, Ember is rather immature and has a bad understanding of society and people's motives. Being half-dragon, she was adopted by a small village's blacksmith and was trained as one. Although her acumen leave much to be desired, her natural strength helped her to make up for it.

Events Text System

The text system is 99% complete, and all plot events will be presented in sort of generic visual novel style. Occasionally there will be choices, but basic story is planned to be fairly straightforward. Other than that, you will be able to initiate dialogues with core characters in your settlement, to play small scenes or get some quests.

The characters are going to have numerous portraits for easier emotion presentation, some of which you can see here.

This is about it for today, although there's a lot more in terms of gui and mechanics which has been done, but since its not so fun to watch, I'll be sparing you of it until the demo release. Let me know what you think and thanks for the attention.

Can't wait to try this out :)

FuckEA

A charming but spoiled prince who has to suffer a consequence of bad decisions he made and eventually learn responsibility (or not) is a bit of a cliche, but it doesn't mean the story can't be interesting if the artist in question put in a personal touch. I'm cautiously optimistic about the project even if I still wish more content in Strive (or a Strive 2) is still the main development focus. And while Anon (I know his name is actually Arron... but come on. You kind of invited that joke) is his own person rather than the player's surrogate character, I do hope the game still provide opportunity for the player to make decision on how he'll be shaped through out the main story rather than a completely railroad experience.
