Side Character variance poll (Patreon)

As you know, I generally work over 1 character at the time, and I often tempted by the idea of expanding their existent plotlines. Sadly, Strive is not a visual novel, so there's not too much field for interactions and storytelling. Another thing is that game pretty big scale and many races and areas in play, what originally gave me a feeling to go for more variance for original side characters. 

As I was working over new small upcoming sidequest character, this issue got to me again, so I want to know what would people want to see more:
1. High amount of plot and sex scenes for existing characters and small number of new characters with also big potential to expand (think of Cali's questline)
2. Many various sidecharacters for potential recruitment with little story and few scenes. 

I have a honest temptation to keep the cast small and work over their development, partly because the more you work over fictional character the better you know and care for them, but I also realize how this can be harmful, and if people seek more variance I'll reforge my priorities.

I voted option 2 mostly because I'd like to get minor characters like an arachna, a drow, a seraph girl? something that gives the game more color in the variety of minor characters instead of having just 1 or 2 with huge plots.

I would vote for option 1. I would like to get more invested with characters instead of having a bunch I don't care about.

It's not gonna be 1 or 2, it will be more like up to 8. And I also think that if we stick to less characters, there will be some room for voting on potential ideas for new characters people would like to see.

I agree. A higher degree of personal investment in the characters is better than just random randoms.

Would all the characters for the larger questlines (1) be female? I play for the M/M content, so knowing which option has a higher chance of giving me that will greatly influence my choice. Even one devoted M/M or male character with a large questline could tip me over to choice 1.

Not gonna say, they they ALL will be female, but I don't think I can write M/M content (unless its something about genderbender/crossdress or something like that). Although I might get someone else to write this kind of questline, but I feel like It's still will be in line with current content, and I'm not sure you should rely on it being exactly what you want.
