So, why I'm changing starting sequence and what's the point?

Pretty simple, really. Old system is buggy, outdated and very brief. It's a part of old times when I was a terrible programmer and was mostly for check. It also used some obsolete implied rewards like skills. With the introduction of gear I want to give players so more interesting options with more flavour including both PC and starting slave. Stat potential will also not be tied to your race anymore and you will be able to distribute points as you like while picking a race you like (although races for player character will have other minor bonuses like + reputation).

I'll be adding new starting locations (Gorn and Frostford), although as they are not going to have their own events and Mage's Order yet, it's more of a flavour thing for now.

I've also reworked appearance selection screen which I might use in some other place to give player an opportunity to finetune existing character entirely to their taste in one go, but for now I'm not quite sure where, when and how it will be available.

Lastly, for those who are waiting for new sidecharacter scenes, I'll be adding two new Emily scenes giving you few more options early on. I will probably finish with her sidequests soon after, because otherwise I'm tempted to expand it for eternity.

If nothing goes wrong, expect new release on this weekend.

Does the no stat limit for race apply to all slaves as well? What about other attributes of slave races such as the essence some are associated with? What about the minor bonuses such as 20% more mana from sexual activity or increased awareness?

No, stat limit will still work for slaves, racial bonuses are not affected (if they can be applied to player activity).
