Whenever I was out shooting in Berlin, I was always on the lookout for historic courtyards and streets with a bit of character, even if they're a little rundown. When I used to live in Rosenthaler Platz in the old East Berlin, that area had a special vibe that I really connected with.

Those kinds of spots give my photos this cool cinematic and dramatic quality that I find really captivating. Even when I look back at those old shoots now, I can't help but smile. Sure, the poses might not be perfect, but there's just something about them that I really love. It's always been a fun challenge for me to try and capture my own unique take on Berlin through my photography.
