In defense of Toby Keith..... I'm not a country music fan. I don't even know if I'd heard of him. I'm from Texas so that sh*t is played in most of the state. While the song didn't appeal to me, the sentiment truly did. Looking at the whole picture from a 22 year distance is one thing, but you have to imagine what it's like in the U.S. at the time. Not only that, but we had reason to believe there could be more to come. I think the only reasonable thing for you to do is to invite him to your house for tea and do a podcast were you listen to every song he's ever released. Obviously intense eye contact is necessary as you nod approvingly as if every song is the best you've ever heard and now you wish to become a cowboy. I'll know you've completed your journey when you open the show with "Wrestle Me Cowpoke YeeHaw!!"
