The Cooking with Belmont demo is here for ALL PATRONS!  It includes the first ~20 minutes - about a quarter of the game - with a tiny taste of each of the three cooking scenarios.

"It’s Pogo’s birthday, and Merritt’s promised to deliver a mind-blowing dinner party.  All he has to do is keep disaster boyfriend Belmont out of the kitchen.  But what if cooking with Belmont could make his meal, and his night, even better?  Will he take the risk?"

Takes place in a theoretical future after DOTU. (no DOTU knowledge required!)

EDIT: Patreon is failing to attach the attachments, so you can now download the files here on Google Drive:

DOWNLOAD THE GAME

Compatibility:

  • Windows Vista+
  • Mac OS X 10.10+ (might also run on older systems, but colors may not look as good)
  • Linux x86/x86_64

Visual Novel, Created with Ren'py 7.4.11. - renpy.org

Demo is rated 16+ for language and sexual innuendo.  (Full game is R-rated.)

How to Play: Left-click anywhere (or press space bar) to advance the text line by line.  Press the "play" button in the on-screen quick menu to toggle auto-advance.

Installation:

Windows:

  • Download the PC version of the game
  • Right-click it and choose "extract all"
  • Open the extracted folder and double-click CookingWithBelmontDEMO.exe (for 64bit systems), or CookingWithBelmontDEMO-32.exe (for older 32-bit systems)

*Depending on your security settings, you may need to give your system permission to run the file, because I'm not a known developer. Ren'py, however, is a reputable game engine. If you're worried, just check with antivirus.

Mac:

  • Download the MAC version of the game
  • Double-click it to extract the contents
  • Open the extracted folder and double-click CookingWithBelmontDEMO

*If you get an error message saying the file can't be opened because it's from an unidentified developer, right-click the file and choose "open", and it should ask if you want to run the program.

Linux:

  • Download the PC version of the game
  • The demo was tested on Windows and Mac, but not on Linux.  Ren'py supports Linux, so this should run on your machine, but I can't offer guarantees or instructions.

Big thanks to Zippy and Elliott for demo play-testing! (I will be reaching out for more play testers for the full game later!)

This demo is currently released to patrons only, but you can share it with people you know!  I'll release a public demo soon.

And thanks to all of you!  It's because of patron support that I was able to put this together without upfront funding, and with a much more ambitious version than originally planned!  Since I did go extra, Ko-fi tips will also help fund work on the finished game. (Tips welcome but not required!)

I hope y'all enjoy the demo! <3  Feedback is VERY welcome and appreciated!  And feel free to ask questions too!
