That overall feet-related affection among Yaraga is not "just because" thing, actually)

Both ritualistic and overall physical. In terms of rituals, arms are branches, feet are roots. A symbol of a tree. Thus you do things with your arms - branches that bear fruits (your deeds), while legs and feet sip strength from all-bearing earth. Including fallen leaves and all obvious "nature's circle" concepts here.

And in terms of physical - pretty much as humans tend to react on female breasts (bigger = better specimen to feed offspring), here it's like "stronger legs = better running, better hunter; bigger stronger feet = steady in life and self-sufficient", thus - better pair.
Thus comes the general reaction. 

Plus, Yaraga love heat - and their bodies are most hot around palms, throat and soles. So-o-o you might make a parallel between humans "squeeze titz" things - and Yaraga's "feet caress").

Among other things, it's one of "bed plays" - Yaraga have a who-o-ole damn art area in terms of love-love. And among these "bed rituals" there is one to determine "who's on top today" - a careful brawl where both are trying to pin partner's muzzle with own feet.
Like "you are under my roots today" - thus "you belong to me today".

And to add a bit here - yes, Yaraga tend to have several wives, that's normal)
